Very useful especially during this time of pandemic
What do you like best about the product?
I can access Onshape anytime, anywhere. This is very convenient to use especially during this time of pandemic as a lot of employees were working at the convenience of their homes.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only dislike is the cabling procedure in Onshape, it is very tedious. I would like to suggest making cabling more convenient using x,y,z planes in the plotting of points.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The speed of use really depends on the server location and also on the speed of your ISP. You have to limit the number of assemblies inside of your document and need to remove unnecessary parts to increase its performance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just need to improve some points, especially in cabling routings and adding some basic dimensions format in the 2D drawing.

Using the software not only helps develop CAD skill, but also perspective
Easy to Master
What do you like best about the product?
Onshape is easy to learn, is full of features typically reserved for High-end CAD programs, has intuitive UI, is excellent at customizing and labeling part prints. And the best thing yet is that it's free.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could handle parametric modeling/parts families and Assemblies better. Something along the lines of Siemens NX would be great. Other than that, I haven't found any significant problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In college, I primarily modeled mechanical components in Onshape and exported them to run sims. If Onshape had better analytical tools, that would be great too. Now, I mostly use it to fuel my hobbies or the occasional assembly for work.

If you get stuck or don't know how to model a feature, there are plenty of tutorials just a click away.

What do you like best about the product?
No installation means you can work anywhere. Basic features like constraining parts together are easy to use and only need one compared to others that need multiple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Updating versions sometimes make a couple of bugs, making it slow. As well as depending on the location you can experience slowdown regardless of internet connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy collaboration since anyone on the team can view your work if needed and work together side by side. Which makes the team is more productive. We can easily check files as well.

Make sure there are no slowdown for all users by improving servers and maintenance.
Onshape is a great tool
What do you like best about the product?
Its accessibility is very user-friendly. I was able to access it from any computer I could access and work on my designs at any time. The commands were easy to find and easy to understand for beginners.
What do you dislike about the product?
Onshape's tools were very limited. I wanted more options or for the commands to be more user-friendly. I also wish to integrate shortcuts into the keyboard so that tasks aren't as repetitive or confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Onshape for my own enjoyment. I have projects in my head that I want to develop in a 3D space and Onshape provides me this opportunity. I am currently looking for new opportunities and my introduction to Onshape has increased my breadth of knowledge.

It's a good tool to start out with.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to share designs easily, collaborate and document. Cloud-based format makes it easy to see active projects and quick overviews of past projects without the burden of opening and viewing multiple files or file types.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times rendering can take longer than expected. Also, there is too much of an emphasis on mouse-based inputs on the "browser version". More keyboard short cuts would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making new types of consumables for pharmaceutical manufacturing. Benefits are quick turnaround of parts as files can be readily exported to machining/printing formats.

Cloud and app features are extremely powerful -- highly recommended tool for remote and off-site workers/collaborators.

What do you like best about the product?
The step by step tutorials were very helpful and being able to change the frame from similar to AutoCad or Solidworks is very cool. Everything is set up right and easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing was disliked from Onshape; everything is appropriately adjusted to meet perfection for easy use and mobility to create many things, if you got an idea you can create it on Onshape.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some of the problems solved are the ability to alter certain things to see if the efficiency is better, for example different types of products that are made throughout this type of program and moved to a CNC interface.

Very great program for manufacturing products.

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that it is web browser-based. That helps to work on the go.
What do you dislike about the product?
The android app is limited. There is no possibility to add drawings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am a teacher, and OnShape's web-based functionality that requires only a good web browser allows me to work virtually with my students. And they find it easy to use.

I'm in a location where access to quality internet is limited. Poor internet connection makes using Onshape difficult at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm in the business of repairing and altering industrial machinery. I use Onshape to clarify my repair specifications.
It was a great way to introduce me to CAD.
What do you like best about the product?
The view cube was very easy to use unlike some other softwares. Additionally, the keyboard shortcuts helped speed up the process of designing significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a bit difficult trying to figure out some functions and their purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Onshape was a great way to learn how to design actual 3 dimensional objects. It's a great way to plan out how you want something to look prior to construction.
