What do you like best about the product?
Great UI and easy to navigate, quick learning curve.
What do you dislike about the product?
The setup is a bit annoying as we switched over, it seemed spam mail got through alot in the beginng and some emails that should get through did not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
helping to protect our users from phishing and spam.

It's good at keeping our email safe. It's doing what it says it'll do

The UI and some of the way things are configured are a bit too complex.

Strong Email Security, But Requires Some Fine-Tuning

What do you like best about the product?
Mimecast Advanced Email Security does a good job of blocking phishing, malware, and impersonation attacks before they reach your inbox. The impersonation protection helps catch CEO fraud and spoofed emails. Setup is straightforward, and once it's running, it mostly takes care of itself. The admin dashboard has a lot of options, which can feel a bit overwhelming at first, but it gets easier to navigate over time. It’s not perfect—false positives happen now and then—but overall, it’s a solid option for keeping email threats in check.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside is that it can be a bit aggressive with filtering, leading to false positives that require manual review. The admin dashboard, while powerful, isn’t the most intuitive and takes some time to get used to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mimecast Advanced Email Security helps block phishing attempts, malware, and impersonation attacks before they reach my users inbox, reducing the risk of security breaches. The URL and attachment scanning add an extra layer of protection against malicious links and files. It also cuts down on spam, which keeps my inbox cleaner and more manageable.

What do you like best about the product?
Once configured the system works well and does it's job without any further intervention. There are a good number of features and the archiving system works well
What do you dislike about the product?
There still seem to be a number of bugs in the system, such as SAML errors when logging in. This happens with a number of our admin users. Initial setup was quite complicated
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The system provides our email security and archiving solution. It means we can easily managed our systems via a cloud based platform

What do you like best about the product?
Mimecast prevents a lot of phishing emails. And we can release or reject the emails that are held in the queue.
What do you dislike about the product?
Should have an easy option to whitelist the email accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It prevents all the suspicious emails and also we can create custom policies to block or scan the emails.

Mimecast Advanced Email Security provides AI-driven threat protection, blocking impersonation attacks, phishing, and malware. It scans links and attachments in real-time, ensures email continuity, and enhances user awareness through training and alerts. Advanced features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes complex configuration is required to get the desired result. User admin training. Cost compared to some alternatives
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Advanced security to protect from email compromise. 100 year email archiving is a big positive especially with high staff turnover.

What do you like best about the product?
Mimecast is mandatory to stop the troves of spam and phishing sent to emails scraped off our website.
What do you dislike about the product?
The spam detection has many false positives. Although it is good to lean that direction with detection, it still has many false negatives that get through the cracks. Both are issues that i have to deal with manually
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits us by reducing manual email spam checks, and relies less on the user's ability to sift through spam emails.

Best of breed solution which has so far kept us safe. Continuous improvement and technologies are able to keep up with emerging threats.

I find Support responsiveness is a challenge.

Mimecast Might Be the Worst Enterprise Software Ever

What do you like best about the product?
Nothing good to say. The service has not only been useless but counterproductive since the day we installed it.
What do you dislike about the product?
1) It blocks an incredible amount of easily identifiable legitimate emails including clients, from family members and - this is the best - emails from the company that installed it on our servers. 2) It has ignored every whitelist request we've given it & 3) customer support is non-existent. I honestly don't understand how anyone with business accountability can allow this software to exist in their organization (we are removing it).

It isn't solving any problems, it's creating them.
