What do you like best about the product?
It prevents you from receiving unwanted emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
It holds up emails I need; however, once you realize it, you can go in and whitelist domains.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prevent email phishing, including malicious emails.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
None. Mimecast will direct and help you set up the best way for your company's needs.
Better email gateway to secure email traffic
What do you like best about the product?
Mimecast very effective to secure your organization from email threats. It will give various types of protections from external as well as internal threats. It will give impersonation protection, URL and Attachments protection to secure emails. Impersonation detection policies based on new domain, internal users etc. It will take actions on malicious mails like blocking and all. Based on different policies emails are held by Mimecast and admin can take action on the held emails according to the legitimacy. Admin can reject or release.
What do you dislike about the product?
False positive rates are quite more. Also in log analysis perspective it will give logs for only detections and not for all emails like gtrace. Admin console should be more user interactive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mimecast is very helpful to detect email threats so benefits are more. We can detect email threats like phishing, spam, impersonation etc. No any problems seen as such.
Mimecast is the Gatekeeer for All Company Email!
What do you like best about the product?
Mimecast Content Control very helpfully allows users to dive into the spam folder and quickly release emails trapped in err, and also permanently permit them to avoid missed communications in the future.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you change your company laptop log-in credentials, then Mimecast requests that you synch passwords which takes a few minutes. Also, it is not always apparent how Mimecast tags incoming emails as spam.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mimecast stops hundreds of spam emails sent to our addresses daily and automatically bounces or rejects emails based on a proprietary algorithm. Our business performance has increased as the software allows us to avoid constant double-checking of dangerous phishing attempts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is wise to check Mimecast daily to see if it has prevented legitimate emails from reaching your inbox. Users can set up a daily email alert that sends a list of all trapped messages from which they can be accepted or rejected. Sometimes the algorithm is overly cautious, and essential communications get quarantined.
Mimecast is a helpful tool to weed out spam and risk emails.

I like that it screens suspect emails and spam emails to help protect my work/company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it blocks emails that it should be permitting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps mitigate risk management and weed out emails that could be threats to our company.

It's easy to use and pretty self-explanatory.

The information about the upcoming threats is really important.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price for the products is higher. and some features may be included as free of cost without the payment hassle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The new threats can be categorized and the remedy can eb applied on those threats based on their characteristics.

Great Product - Abysmal Support
What do you like best about the product?
The product is flexible and effective. It can accomplish very complex filtering and can be utilized to accomplish things well beyond what it appears designed to do at first glance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support of the product has been a terrible experience. In the years that we have used the product, there has been absolutely no improvement in support despite many promises.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our primary use is to encrypt any outbound message that contains protected health information. However, we also use it to scan for incoming malware, prevent specific internal users from being able to send/receive emails from outside the organization, which helps us minimize the risk associated with phishing.

What do you like best about the product?
It provides security and peace of mind. When malicious emails come through, it's easy to see who they went to. Blocking emails and sorting through who received them to better protect our company is a breeze!
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be a little frustrating at times. But once you learn where everything is, it becomes very simple to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blocking email threats. I love the URL decoder!

The layout of the website is modern and I felt at ease when using it.

I didn't truly understand all of the features that were on offer but that may be due to me not knowing the system entirely.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Normally I would use it to check for any quarantined email or phish.

Securing the business email gateway is the desire of every business, and Mimecast Email Security with Threat Protection has been working well for us. I like that it comes at an affordable cost and that deploying it as well as using it is a breeze

Absolutely zero problems experienced using Mimecast Email Security with Threat Protection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Mimecast Email Security with Threat Protection to keep our email gateway threat proof, and this ensures we do not have incidences of phishing, corrupt emails, and data loss. The software is good at what it does as we never have threats getting into our emails.

For better and affordable email gateway protection, look for a tool that has been tested and proved, such as Mimecast Email Security with Threat Protection. We have used it successfully and hence the reason I'm recommending it.
