great Monitoring onprem&cloud
What do you like best about the product?
Simple setup, automatic setup, great adaptability

Not completley open source. Some Nixe features are only commercial

What do you like best about the product?
We are using Checkmk for more then 12 years now and we are very happy with it. Checkmk is a comprehensive and powerful monitoring solution that is easy to use and scale. It has a wide range of features that can be used to monitor all aspects of our IT infrastructure, from servers and networks to applications and services. Checkmk is also very flexible and can be customized to meet the specific needs of your organization.

Before Checkmk, we were blind. We had no visibility into our IT infrastructure, and we were constantly reacting to problems as they happened. This was a major pain point for our team, and it was costing us a lot of time and money.
Then we implemented Checkmk, and everything changed. Now we have complete visibility into our IT infrastructure, and we can proactively identify and resolve problems before they impact our users.

Great Monitoring Tool for enterprise and personal use
What do you like best about the product?
CMK is very easy to setup and use. After installation and agent deployment, one already gets a very good insight to systems. Plug-in development is very easy and the agent can easily be expanded with new functionalities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some interesting new features are only in the ultra premium edition and one cannot license just one of the fancy features for the enterprise edition.

The many monitoring solutions and the very good expandability to meet customer-specific needs

There are really only small things that one sometimes misses. It's good that you can simply add them and often find them included in later releases.

Get an overview of the infrastructure and application status at least as quickly as the user.
Intuitive Monitoring Software with great expandability
What do you like best about the product?
Checkmk is great when you need to monitor many aspects of a network. It supports many different Services and Hosts straight out of the Box. When thats not the case, you can expand it with the help that is provided in the forums and the documentation. Also the Web GUI is very intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think there is really a thing that not great about checkmk, at least for me. It's a bit tricky to get into, but once you are working with checkmk for an advanced period of time, you'll get it.

The installation itself for both the server and the agent is very simple and quick.
The default limit values set are perfectly adequate for a standard environment.
It is impossible to imagine our everyday life without Checkmk. My first step in the morning is to check the dashboard to see if there are any problems or faults.
The community is also very helpful and you can already find posts and solutions to most problems in forums.
I can only really recommend Checkmk to everyone.

There is only one negative point regarding Checkmk.
So far there is no support for ARM CPUs. However, it has already been announced that this is already being worked on.

Since we started using Checkmk, we have had fewer critical problems because we are warned in advance that a problem is about to occur.
