A robust and time tested database
What do you like best about the product?
Volumes it process are amazing. It's one the most reliable databases from IBM. This database is a time tested database and continues to stay strong. It can handle complex nested queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
DB2 name itself is not sounding any meaningful. They could have given a more catchy name.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Almost all the applications in the healthcare ecosystem have DB2 standing like a rock behind them
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check if this has fine compatibility with latest technologies which are upcoming now. There could be a better option from fine compatibility perspective.
A good RDBMS
What do you like best about the product?
It's a really good database which lets me save and fetch desired information at will using basic queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing specific to be disliked, it does what it says, if you are looking for a SQL based Relational DB then go for it!

I used it for saving user information and other drivers feedback when i created my driver feedback system app.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to install and deploy. Supported by multiple operating platforms. Good online community support available.

Database size limitations and lack of standard monitoring tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our Enterprise data warehouse is on db2. We have been able to store data from multiple sources in a centralized location.
An intuitive database language
What do you like best about the product?
Its syntax is different from the traditional SSMS or MySQL and hence it makes it unique to work with. Works faster with IBM Software tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are someone who has always worked on SQL Server, it would be a little typical to catch on.

We carried out trainings on db2 to work with a project. I am a db2 certified associate.

What do you like best about the product?
IBM Db2 is a DB used by developers because they can use it without the assistance of a database administrator, even with minimal skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
Slight on the higher side when it comes to pricing

I don't totally trust the security and at deployment can be an issue at times.

Quick and easy Implementation in lesser cost
What do you like best about the product?
It was a lovely experience to work with the IBM Db2 team providing ultimate level of philosophy around delivering quality and performance in a cost-effective manner.The product 'just works' and the IBM team couldn't be any more helpful. Very reliable product.Security is very high and security is been considered seriously which can't be compromised with not affecting the performance at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that IBM does not push the benefits of Db2 vs. Oracle and HANA, as the database of choice for SAP. Needs to be adopt and adapt modern interfaces in a agile manner. Integration with IDAA needs to be made more transparent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost effectiveness by replacing SAP. Complete Adoption of maturing technologies with manageable risk. Data Warehouse and Data Management solution for Analytics.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Allocate extra resources than the load expected (keep buffer to expedite the implementation. Support from IBM Db2 team is awesome as compared to other vendors like Oracle and SAP. Better publicize the benefits of running SAP on Db2. Push IBM for more modern interfaces. Technlogy is very solid and reliable
Db2 Warehouse on Cloud Review
What do you like best about the product?
You can size dashDB to your current needs and expand its capability later on as the needed. I like the way dashDB allow for connecting to the cloud that my network engineer to set things up quickly. IBM dashDB's ability to store and provide fast access to data both on-premise and in the cloud makes it a real winner for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
IBM dashDB could be clearer about the technology used to deliver the particular tier of the service you buy. IBM dashDB can be cost prohibitive for folks needing to push a lot of data from on-premise into the cloud on a regular basis.IBM dashDB is really like three data technologies in one and the sales teams at IBM sometimes can't explain why the MPP tier is better for certain uses over the db2 BLU based tier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The IBM DB2 database is of the cool new technologies through which one can easily create a database on the cloud without having to worry about any operating system and does not have any limitation. It is easily scalable and also does not require any major set up.
