A Security Platform That Brings Clarity, Control, and Confidence
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Sophos Firewall is how balanced it is — powerful security without unnecessary complexity. From day one, the interface felt intuitive, and managing policies, VPNs, and security rules was straightforward. The visibility it provides into traffic, applications, and threats is excellent. Instead of just blocking risks, it explains why something is happening, which makes decision-making easier for administrators
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s very little to dislike. During the initial deployment, exploring all the advanced features can take some time simply because there’s so much available. However, this isn’t a drawback it’s more a reflection of how feature-rich the platform is. Once familiar, daily operations become smooth and predictable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos Firewall solved the challenge of managing multiple security functions separately. Earlier, firewalling, VPN access, web filtering, and reporting were handled by different tools. Now everything is consolidated into one platform. This has reduced administrative overhead, improved response time to threats, and given us consistent security enforcement across the network.

Sometimes the web access to the firewalls can be slow, but it's gotten a lot better over time!

What I like best about Sophos Firewall is its strong security features combined with an easy-to-use interface, making it simple to manage threats, monitor traffic, and protect the network without complex configuration.

What I dislike about Sophos Firewall is that some advanced configurations can be complex and time-consuming, and the hardware requirements and licensing costs may be high for small organizations.

Sophos Firewall solves the problem of network vulnerabilities and unmanaged traffic by providing robust threat protection, intrusion prevention, and application control. This benefits me by ensuring a secure and stable network environment, reducing risks from cyberattacks, and giving clear visibility into network activity for better decision-making.
All-in-One Security Made Simple with Sophos Firewall
What do you like best about the product?
Sophos firewall has an advanced threat protection, which means it does everything within the same firewall console like protection from virus, detection of phishing emails, and controls spams over the network! It is extremely easy to use and configure through Sophos central which shows everything within a single window. Sophos firewall can be integrated in any environment too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack some advance features which can be find in the competitors, like scalability for large enterprises. It slows down over the time of period and creates performance issues too if you enable DPI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Limiting users for the bandwidth usage as blocking the streaming website like YouTube. It is extremely helpful for the network security and blocking a lot of unwanted traffic.

Sophos Central Makes Firewall Management Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
It had a feature of web filtering options which i liked the most but the most important part i liked was sophos central feature where i can view, configure and manage all the firewall from a single console.
What do you dislike about the product?
firmwares and updates sometimes introduces bugs which causes issues but just sometimes and exporting reports are just basic one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
to be very precise and simple it heavy protects our networks avoid any kind of threats to enter in our networks. Since the attackers are targeting companies to extract their data and putting the companies to bottom line their business so Sophos firewall here can be great savior and game changer. It benefits to avoid any sort of ransomware attack, avoid data breach and noncompliance issue as well . If all these things are okay our business can run smoothly without any interruption.

Rock-Solid Reliability and Outstanding Support from Sophos
What do you like best about the product?
We've been using Sophos firewalls since 2019 and have not had a single hardware failure, failed update or any unscheduled downtime. The migration from XG to XGS was straight forward and almost flawless.
We've had great support from Sophos too. They've provided free in-depth health checks and reviews of our
firewall and endpoint protection configurations and have provided us with helpful recommendations.

What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of mDNS/Bonjour support. A key tool when using the Firewall and Endpoint Protection is Sophos Central.
It's really disappointing that synchronization with Google Directory is only possible by purchasing additional
products, that we already have solutions for.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos XGS, along with their Endpoint Protection, is providing us with excellent network security and reporting. The general time it takes to administer the firewall is less than what we used previously.

What do you like best about the product?
I am truly impressed with how Sophos Firewall handles network security through its centralized platform combining IPS/IDS, web filtering, and application control. The product's URL filtering feature is particularly outstanding, allowing me to block categories based on user profiles effectively. I love the ease of managing network security; the interface is intuitive and provides excellent visibility of both traffic and users. The centralized dashboard is a huge advantage as it provides comprehensive visibility of bandwidth usage, threat alerts, system performance, and active connections, and even includes real-time traffic monitoring. This graphical view of all rules simplifies understanding rule flow. With its straightforward VPN setup and application filtering, it has made our network management simpler, more transparent, and significantly more secure. The setup process was particularly user-friendly, thanks to a helpful wizard that guided us step-by-step. Finally, the value Sophos Firewall provides for its price compared to other market vendors is commendable, earning it a high recommendation score from me.

I feel that the reporting options in Sophos Firewall could offer more flexibility for customized analysis. It would be beneficial if the system allowed users to create fully customized reports by selecting exact fields and filters. Additionally, supporting multiple export formats would enhance its functionality.

I use Sophos Firewall to secure our network from external threats, simplify management, enable real-time traffic monitoring, and reduce troubleshooting time. It provides reliable IPS/IDS, web filtering, application control, and VPN setup on a centralized platform.
