Managing compliance requests becomes efficient while peace of mind increases

What is our primary use case?

Our main use case for Kertos is managing GDPR requests and pretty much anything around compliance in our company. A day-to-day use case would be that a customer requests information about PII that we store about them or requests deletion of the data, and Kertos helps us manage those requests and respond to them very efficiently.

We also use Kertos for managing a catalog of all our GDPR relevant tools, which includes all the software we have. We use their auto detection feature to help us navigate the software that our company uses, whether we know about it or not, and Kertos really provides the documentation that's required from us from a regulatory point of view.

How has it helped my organization?

Kertos has been pivotal to us evolving from a compliance-conscious to a fully compliant organization that does not only take GDPR and compliance seriously, but has the tools and data to act on any related challenges arising. Having a complete overview of requests, issues, and deadlines in one dashboard has substantially increased the trust of internal and external stakeholders into our ability to deliver on all regulatory demands in our current environment as well as established confidence that we will be able to meet future demands should regulations change. 

What is most valuable?

The best features Kertos offers include the efficiency around having all our tools connected in one place, which gives us access to all the GDPR requests in one tool instead of in dedicated silos. Kertos makes it very easy for us and very time efficient to manage all things GDPR and compliance.

Having everything in one place has helped our team by making the legwork in the GDPR and compliance field very efficient for us. Our team can focus on more strategic initiatives and really on the structure. They have way more time to focus on specific edge cases rather than spending the day doing the legwork, and this has saved our company quite a bit of money that we would otherwise have had to spend on additional resources.

Kertos has positively impacted our organization by saving us time; without Kertos, to work on the volume of GDPR and compliance topics that we incur day-to-day, we would have to employ at least two or three more people full-time. This is definitely a huge saving on that end. Beyond that, Kertos has really given us a lot of confidence and peace of mind around compliance and GDPR topics because as a manager, I can simply log in and have all compliance and GDPR topics in one dashboard. I am definitely on top of things and know what's going on, whether we're compliant or whether we have open issues that we need to tackle, which has really helped us in terms of confidence and also ultimately our customers, as they can rely on fast responses in time-sensitive matters.

What needs improvement?

Kertos is already on a very good track of developing additional features that allow for automation, making it even easier to stay on top of things; so there isn't really a specific wish that we have at this time.

I do not have anything else to add about the needed improvements or something that could be enhanced in the future as our company grows, but of course it will be interesting to see how the already implemented AI features continue to evolve and further support automation in the compliance space.

I have been working in my current field for six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Kertos is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Kertos's scalability is seamless; I think we could grow by 10x or even 50x, and Kertos would scale with us seamlessly.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support is very good, with response times usually in the area of minutes rather than hours, and they are extremely helpful.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

For some areas that we now use Kertos for, we previously used a self-built solution, and for other parts, we used a different third-party provider, which turned out to be way too expensive.

How was the initial setup?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that it was really straightforward. The entire pricing structure is very transparent, and it was very clear to us upfront what we would be paying month to month. The setup was done in a breeze; we simply had to set up our account and then use one-click integration to connect Kertos to our tools.

What was our ROI?

I have certainly seen a return on investment from using Kertos. We believe that we save around two or three full-time equivalents, so the ROI is at least 4x.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing Kertos, we evaluated other options that we ended up not going for because they did not integrate deeply enough into our tools but were more educational.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others looking into using Kertos is to get a demo in order to really understand how to use Kertos, because the product can do a lot of things, and it helps to have a firsthand view on how Kertos works and what you can do with it.
