Good centralized security solution
What do you like best about the product?
A clear menu navigation and rules.
What do you dislike about the product?
The licenses should be cheaper, as many SMEs will not be able to afford them in the near future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The security in the company network is thereby better protected.
Good products, getting more expensive, support only english (Indians)
What do you like best about the product?
The devices feature high-quality workmanship and software. There are a lot of features provided you pay for most of them. Implementing is self explaining, there are good instructions online. It's very easy to use, reaching from beginners to experts. Easy to learn, hard to master.
What do you dislike about the product?
The customer support only speaks english, which is hard to understand when you are talking to them, because they are all indians.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a Router and it does all the things a router does. VPN, Firewall, routing, ...
Very good product with questionable pricing and mediocre support
What do you like best about the product?
Good interaction between different components of Sophos (Firewall, RED, Access Points, ...), good configuration options to ensure IT security, many different features combined in one device, after initial difficulties with the Sophos Firewall software, the problems have been pretty much resolved with the latest updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing policy of Sophos has worsened in recent years, new components such as access points, which now have to be managed via Central, are not fully compatible with older ones, making a mixed environment almost impossible and forcing you to replace all existing components when expanding. The support has also deteriorated in recent years, employees speak very poor English and are hardly understandable on the phone.

What do you like best about the product?
Sophos Firewall is easy to use and implement, with a clean interface and helpful customer support. We use it daily for traffic monitoring, policy enforcement, and remote access, and its integration with Sophos Central adds great centralized control.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting features could be more detailed and customizable, and the user interface, while modern, can feel slow or clunky at times — especially when managing large rule sets or navigating between sections.

Sophos Firewall helps us block malware, stop phishing attacks, manage user access, control application usage, and secure remote connections. It also provides deep packet inspection and real-time threat intelligence, which strengthens our overall security posture. By simplifying network security and offering centralized management, it reduces the risk of breaches, minimizes downtime, and saves both time and operational costs. Additionally, its reporting and alerting tools help us stay proactive in responding to potential threats.

The only challenge is that with so many advanced options, new administrators may take time to explore everything it offers. But once familiar, the range of controls becomes a real advantage rather than a limitation.

Its Synchronized Security feature enables real-time response to endpoint threats, reducing manual workload and response time. With built-in SD-WAN, we’ve improved application performance across sites. Centralized management and reporting simplify compliance and policy enforcement, ultimately increasing operational efficiency and reducing security risks.

What do you dislike about the product?
I suggest showing the Storage Master Key under the Backup and Restore tab like the encryption password, as it’s required for restoring backups. Many users create an encryption password but are unaware of the Master Key in the console, so displaying it would reduce confusion.

Honestly, there’s very little to dislike — but if I had to mention something, it would be that the wide range of features can feel overwhelming at first. However, this is easily resolved with a short learning curve, and the comprehensive documentation and support make it a worthwhile investment.

Sophos Firewall is helping us tackle multiple challenges, from blocking advanced threats to managing bandwidth efficiently across the network. Greater Visibility to my Web Browsing
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of locating the different configurations and the ease of setting up the networks, as well as the speed with which they can be configured, since on other devices it takes a long time to save a configuration, as I use it daily to monitor web browsing and the behavior of my internet links.
What do you dislike about the product?
What needs to be restarted when the firmware is updated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Greater visibility to web browsing reports and greater visibility of network logos and the behavior of my users.
