A great tool for the job
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Meltwater's comprehensive media monitoring, intuitive reporting system, and valuable social media tracking feature. The intuitive interface and visually appealing reporting system make data analysis a breeze, and the social media tracking feature ensures that we take advantage of essential engagement opportunities. Meltwater is an excellent tool for staying informed about the conversations that matter most.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a fan of the sluggish loading speeds of Meltwater's website. It's incredibly frustrating, especially when I'm on a tight deadline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater simplifies PR and marketing tasks to save time for busy professionals. By automating reporting, media monitoring, and outreach, I was able to free up hours of my time each week. This allowed me to focus on other projects and tasks that would typically take a back seat to these more time-consuming activities.
The good and the bad
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best is that our TVEyes account is integrated into meltwater. I also think that it is visualy easy to read and the dashboard is easy to use. I like the unlimted searches and dashboards. It also does a good job of separating earned and paid media. The account reps are very attentive and help quickly when needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that my Broadcast monitoring has been disconnected twice. I also don't like that they make changes to the search algorithm without letting clients or their customer service agents know. This has caused me to have two different numbers for the same campaign with out giving me a way to explain it. I had to be on a customer chat for more than 2 hours for the customer service team to find that out. I don't like that there are so many add-ons. I want a clear price presented to me for everything I ask for. I also don't like that I have to buy press releases in bulk and that I don't have access to a globwire dashboard - my press release results are not archived. We do get a email, but I have to download a PDF to keep it. There is no way for me to compare release results. I also don't like that I can't add newsdesk to my media lists.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have not found any real benefit of Meltwater over Cision. The biggest is filtering out paid media. I had thought I would like the integration with influencers and newswire, but it doesn't perform as I'd like yet.
Useful influencer tool
What do you like best about the product?
We needed to find & validate our chosen influencers. The tool help us with this. The reports have also been incredibly useful to the team.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if there were more micro influencers with stats. Our company has a small budget. Customize fees to suit smaller businesses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to correctly choose the right influencers to ensure we get the best results. Without the stats as per previous we were working in the dark. Reporting.
Good to have influencer metrics benchmarks.
What do you like best about the product?
See influencers metrics and compare between them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the platform doesn't identifies the influencers profiles. It's not so clear what are the skills of some influencers. Its not so clear what brands the influencer is promoting.

Have a better knowledge about influencers reach and potential, get more info to support our influencers selections.
Using Meltwater to effectively track marketing analytics.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the comprehensive content coverage that Meltwater offers! It allows me to monitor my brand mentions and target and contact key influencers in my industry. Its crucial feature is identifying duplicate brand postings and maintaining accurate monitoring quality rather than encouraging more brand mentions. This ensures I can use the best resources available to monitor my brands effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it difficult to navigate around the Meltwater software, as I don't find it to be very intuitive. Furthermore, the support team is slow to respond to any queries and issues I encounter, making it frustrating to use the software if I ever experience any problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps me stay on top of the topics I follow and the crucial keywords I monitor. I customize reports to meet my specific needs, such as sending me the latest information on a topic.
Great Tool for Influencer Marketing
What do you like best about the product?
I loved the ability to search for influencers in specific demographics, and also loved the ability to categorize them through campaigns, tags or lists. This made the vetting process alot easier for me as a Marketer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once you have used the platform, you feel like there are some missing accounts, and so I didn't use it as often in the beginning. I know you can add influencers manually, but for sourcing and locating potential candidates it was a little bit harder to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's benefiting me by making my sourcing quicker, and also adding influencers to campaigns is really nice and can become streamlined because we can send and they can sign contracts, and get approval through Klear.
I would absolutely recommend Meltwater to a friend.

Meltwater is tenacious and eager to help out their clients.

I have found no dislikes in using Meltwater.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is providing my company and team with high quality news and media monitoring coverage. Their software provides my team with the resources to monitor high-profile news mentions, and media coverage of our staff and member companies.
Plenty of room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The analytics tools are useful but confusing to get started. The search functions for media contacts is decent, and I appreciate the number of filters available. I also appreciate the account manager we are assigned as she has been helpful with the trainings.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of design issues that could be better. I really hate how there are date limitations of 90 days on media contact searches for certain keywords. I also find it extremely misleading that many journalists/reporters "contact" information has a generic email listed, i.e. info@publicationname.com, not their specific email. That is very bad for PR if I am sending multiple emails to an inbox that is not monitored by the actual contact. This is a huge problem - Meltwater should not autopopulate a journalist's contact info if they can't find their specific email with the generic email.
I also still have issues with the analyze tool and understanding how to customize the view so it's the most useful.
It would also be nice to have customizable tracking features for campaigns, so I could add in additional columns beyond just open rate, clickthrough rate, and unsubscribes.
We are having a lot of issues with getting the Klear campaign started as well.
When I do a keyword search for a topic to search articles published over 90 days ago and then select media contacts, as I scroll down, the page refreshes and everyone I have selected for a media list is deselected.
I also still have issues with the analyze tool and understanding how to customize the view so it's the most useful.
It would also be nice to have customizable tracking features for campaigns, so I could add in additional columns beyond just open rate, clickthrough rate, and unsubscribes.

It can help build media lists for PR outreach and track effectiveness of email subject lines and campaigns. It can help to find a lot of journalist contact information quickly. It also has interesting analytics features.
Meltwater - Monitoring Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
Its interactivity - there are many tools all in one place. You can find new journalists to reach out to, while searching for the coverage you pitched. I also like how you can save searches.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the downsides of Meltwater is when a syndicated piece of coverage is published, it monitors for each individual story instead of grouping them together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps with monitoring and identifying when keywords are included in print, online articles. It helps me save time with saved searches so I can easily scroll through and see which stories are relevant.
Great platform for influencer insights
What do you like best about the product?
Background metrics like location of followers, as well as engagement rate.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are the occasional profiles that are missing from the system (@BetterIdeas on YouTube) that will not upload.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They make it possible for our company to share accuare influencer information with clients. That helps us build successful campaigns.
