Great service, great support
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to pull robust metrics. I also appreciate the customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are many tools in the platform, and some of them perform similar functions. There are various reports and documents you can pull, but they are in different spots in the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting on national campaigns, providing value to our marketing teams across the country. IT also helps us benchmark for annual campaigns.

The morning email with all our comments and the ones regarding my competitors

It's missing the comments of Facebook groups

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater insights support our BD efforts and delivery of strategic recommendations for our clients. It is user-friendly and the team is always ready to help us maximize our use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Speed an issue at times, and enhancements in certain areas like saving date ranges for searches would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater provides insights and data that help to support and build rationale for our client recommendations. Demonstrating deep understanding is compelling.
Stands up to the competition with many tools at small-agency budget prices but needs work elsewhere.
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater has always been the most budget-friendly of all applicable platforms that performs as well or better than Cision. The direct-download reports are crucial to operating in a time crunch and the tools are also plentiful albeit a bit overwhelming. The media contact database is particularly helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is always a "glass half empty" side to every positive with any platform. Meltwater's great media contact database needs more regular updates. The outreach system yields little results due to bounce-backs or emails automatically going to spam/remaining unread. Reporting is excellent but can be limited at times. I wish there were more customizable options for pdf reports. Interface, while just updated recently, still isn't quite user-friendly, the amount of click-through to get to the report you want or to do a media search is a bit much at times. What I'd really like for our purposes, and this may be the most important thing for what we do - is an impressions calculator of some sort, the AVE is great, but clients want to see how many people are actually viewing their content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is opening doors faster to other media markets, helping deliver necessary reports to clients without all the heavy lifting and time-consuming effort of producing a spreadsheet from scratch. Analytics such as AVE are critical to these reports in justifying our retainers. Dealing primarily in media relations, having the TV eyes service to pull clips is incredibly helpful for us and our clients as well.
Very practical
What do you like best about the product?
We like the option to follow our collaborators' Facebook pages and have access to media monitoring (radio and TV) that other monitoring platforms do not offer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Despite the fact that this platform is very convenient, the subscription costs are very high.

Meltwater allows us to be more proactive on our social media

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is a handy tool for people who need to monitor traditional media and social media coverage on a daily basis, like me. The different search filters make it easy to find what you are looking for without spending hours sifting through useless information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Meltwater does not always find the coverage you are looking for, especially regarding radio segments because of transcripts. Also, the location filter does not always remove results from areas that are not selected.

None that I know of.
Robust Solution for Social Listening and Beyond
What do you like best about the product?
easy to navigate, user-friendly, easy to pull out insights to share and analyze

would be great if there were additional pricing options beyond seats (especially for agency model)

We started using the tool successfully for social listening for both current clients and new business, but have recently added social media management for select clients and influencer management.

- When monitoring for clients, despite the fact that we include keywords and try to narrow the research, we frequently get ads.
- The tone of articles is often incorrect.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to find most of the results you are looking for and the many filters that refine the search.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ads are included in the results. The platform is not really friendly user.

Sometimes, the coverage takes some time before it appears on the platform, making it seem more likely for us to miss coverage.
