What do you like best about the product?
I like how it incorporates all parts of a media relations strategy - monitoring, reporting, research, outreach.
What do you dislike about the product?
Often there are gaps in what the tools make available - missing articles, incorrect contact information, no contact information for newsrooms. The tool needs more of a human touch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One-stop shop for communications teams - no need to switch between services.

What do you like best about the product?
User interface and support are excellent
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration of new components can be costly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are keeping an eye and ear on conversations that impact our business. We also can put a value on traditional and social media outreach, to show impact and impressions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Talk with Meltwater about your needs. Their account staff are very effective at building the tool which meets your needs.

What do you like best about the product?
The Meltwater system is easy for all to use and very intuitive. As a busy executive I find it hard to set aside time to train on new systems so I can best support my team in their daily work and resource needs. The team at Meltwater is very helpful and swift to respond to our changing needs. We are successful because of the partnership built between customer and vendor!
What do you dislike about the product?
The media contacts list is hard to navigate and functionally difficult to pull 1 name specifically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking metrics and placements, having fresh media relations lists

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is easy to use. They have advisors readily available for assistance. In urgent time sensitive situations, they are easy to get a hold of and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The site can sometimes be slow. Have gone in a couple times where things will not open.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to keep our executives informed with media coverage.

What do you like best about the product?
The media monitoring aspect, in which we set up key words and it pulls all the relevant news articles in, works very well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Every now and again foreign language articles get pulled in, but it doesn't happen very often.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are monitoring various subjects/issues/events that impact our organization. We also use it to send out news releases to the relevant journalists/publications.

I like how the new platform is easy to use (once you've learned how to use it).

When creating a news release photo doesn't upload its regular size.

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater customer service is excellent. Our rep is knowledgeable, attentive and quick to respond to questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I still think the audience reach and sentiment are bogus metrics. I only use reach as a relative reading within our Meltwater history - it seems to have very little relation to what is going on in the real world.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a much better, single-source place to find all relevant coverage for our initiatives. We have been able to curate that information for dissemination to different internal employee groups.

What do you like best about the product?
The suite helped automate work and save time in reporting, media monitoring, outreach and more. There was always peace of mind that no important headlines or coverage would be missed.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was nothing specific I dislike about the Meltwater platform. The only addition I would love to see and missed from previous competitors was the ease of looking up a particular outlet's reach or readership. This was not possible with Meltwater.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps to automate time-consuming aspects of public relations and marketing work. As a one-person department, it always feels like I'm working against the clock. Meltwater saved me time throughout my weeks, making reporting, media monitoring and outreach to much easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The base suite does offer a lot of value and functions, however, having the budget for additional features can add even more value. I did feel like there was some pressure to upgrade our contract with additional software pieces when we first onboarded with the company. While we stuck with the basics, I appreciated always having someone to feature out to with questions.

The Meltwater team is always quick to respond to any questions or concerns with their service. They are courteous and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally the search terms we set up don't capture all the stories we'd like to monitor, although most of the time they do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Meltwater's media monitoring saves us time finding stories that are relevant to our business needs.
