Great Customer Service and A Lot of New Additions
What do you like best about the product?
My rep - Mathew, is awesome. He is always willing to help whenever I am in a fix or need something fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is pricey. They continue to add new features that if selected can rapidly increase the costs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting press releases on the National and International wire. Having a database of media contacts to share the release info with.
Highly-responsive support teams, and progressive offerings make a difference!
What do you like best about the product?
Responsiveness. Our client success representatives over the years have always responded quickly, creating new searches and reports in time-sensitive situations. They almost immediately empower our team with information and afterward offer training on the techniques they employ. The live chat function is seamless and that team is extremely thorough in finding solutions and offering insight.
Each year, they seek out the most current and progressive offerings and build solid third-party vendor partnerships to offer clients the best options.

What do you dislike about the product?
The investment is not a modest one, but the benefits and services align with the cost, so the value proposition makes sense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The reputation management (Media Intelligence) platform offers thorough and timely search results and reporting capabilities. Also, the media relations outreach, contact lists and searches and up to date and all-inclusive from top tier media to up-and-coming bloggers.
We value the Engage platform for social media scheduling and monitoring and find new functions helpful and keeping pace with our engagement needs.
The other newer tools seem to provide value as well, but the additional investment impedes our ability to commit.

Klear a powerful tool for Influencer Marketing
What do you like best about the product?
What i really enjoy about Klear is the ease of use. The user interface is easy to understand and traverse.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not really anything to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we first started we had a team search the internet for influencers in our business sector. With klear one person did the same job in a matter of hours.

Easy to use and very useful
What do you like best about the product?
That is very easy to use and has a lot of information available

It is a bit slow, and the established daily timeframes work in a strange way
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us with several reports so clients can understand what people say about their brands and competitors.
It wasn't giving me all the information . I still had to go back to the actual social platform.

It was a pretty basic and easy-to-navigate platform.

There was no in-depth analysis or value add compared to other platforms.

I needed to pull data to develop social media analysis reports which is where Meltwater came in. It does give you a holistic view of all the different KPIs

Do your research into other platforms before investing in Meltwater.

Meltwater has a good reach and makes it easy to add new media sources if they do not pick up brand mentions natively. The account support has always been good with Meltwater and we can typically resolve problems quickly. Meltwater has an easy-to-use interface that makes it simple to get started.

Nothing comes to mind till now while using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used meltwater for my secondary research. It collects a lot of data and makes our work a lot easier.
Great Tool, Probably a Bit 'Big' for What We Need.
What do you like best about the product?
The quick and easy access to journalist contacts and the ease of sending out press releases. Reporting/exporting is also good.

The price is a bit high for the frequency in which we use it.

Access to a media database.
Meltwater has an easy to navigate platform with attentive team members and a clean presentation.
What do you like best about the product?
The team members at Meltwater are highly attentive. They are always there to respond promptly and answer any and all questions we have about the platform or any changes we want to be made to our data. They are willing to explain things step by step, meet over Zoom and show you, and always check in to make sure things got done the way we wanted. The platform is straightforward to use, with a clean presentation that presents many options but is not too overwhelming. There are many ways to customize different searches for data presentation and analysis, and this customization makes it much easier to narrow in on specific things that we are looking for. The team members combined with the platform itself make Meltwater an ideal system to use to gather different forms of data in regards to media.
What do you dislike about the product?
There have been times where a simple adjustment needed to be made, and I had to reach out to a team member. I realized after that the change was so easy and simple to make, and maybe I didn't look in the right places or explore the platform enough. Even so, Meltwater has many resources to help explore the platform, such as trainings, which should be taken advantage of. The platform is easy to navigate, but still should be explored by the user in an active way in order to fully understand it. This is moreso a critique on my end instead of Meltwater's.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Meltwater, we have been able to analyze different sets of data, for example, our audience following from this fiscal year compared to the previous year. We are able to understand the main outlets that reach our audiences, our growth in reach, and many other things that help us measure if what we are doing as an organization works. We are given access to several media articles that provide us with an idea of what is being said about us, if our reports are reaching media outlets and which ones, and to see how our competitors are doing. This information helps us understand why these numbers fluctuate when they do and to guess from the media articles that Meltwater provides what influenced those changes. There are an incredible amount of benefits from Meltwater that we are continuing to realize the more we use it. Aside from analyzing critical information in regards to audiences as well as what media outlets are saying, Meltwater is also a great way to find media outlets and/or contacts. We may even start to explore social media monitoring in the near future!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Meltwater is easy to use with a clean platform and presentation of information. There is so much that you can do, and the options are only growing! The information that they can pull is incredible, and they make it look so easy. Their team members are a pleasure to work with as they are very professional, kind, and attentive. They are willing to set aside time even for the simplest of things to help you out. I would highly recommend Meltwater to those in need of its services.
Meltwater - A Comprehensive, Quality Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater offers a very comprehensive tool that allows our team to identify up-to-the-minute media and social media traction and the ability to understand its impact. The tool has been easy to navigate and best of all we have customized it to fit our needs. Also, anytime we have needed help, Meltwater's support team has quickly responded to assist us with our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't say there is anything we dislike. It does take some time to set up and understand how to navigate but I have not found it to be difficult and I certainly did not grow up in the tech age!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There have been many times when our Meltwater monitoring uncovers a news story or social media issue that we need to be aware of. Even though we have other resources, Meltwater many times catches it first and we can then use the tool to help us understand the reach and traction of what we are monitoring.

We've tried other services and Meltwater is the best!
Love the platform, provides a lot of amazing insights into PR and media reporting.

Account team is very responsive; coverage insights are very helpful

The media database emails arent current. Broadcast is a bit slow sometimes.

Able to capture a lot of coverage, spikes in coverage in real time. Account team is able to update search terms for us very quickly - love that!
