My long experience about MELTWATER
What do you like best about the product?
Very synthetic and relevant way to get a very quick press review on a specific topic

Sometimes, the lack of official updates, if any

Don't hesitate to contact the MELTWATER hotline whenever facing a problem on the platform

What do you like best about the product?
We currently use Meltwater to track our media presence and it has been helpful detecting media coverages that I would otherwise not be able to discover. The share of voice option is also great to show how our organization is faring against similar groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the graphics could be improved. I use another listening tool and that competitor has better visual charts and graphics that look modern and can easily be shared for reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have limited manpower for communications work so having Meltwater is like having additional personnel that helps with analysis. I have someone/something that can do daily monitoring so I can focus on implementing strategy and writing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's important to fully understand its features so you can maximize your use. It's a powerful system with robust data but it's not always user-friendly.

What do you like best about the product?
We have chosen Meltwater as one of our most trusted tools since 2018.
All the features have been very helpful to us and Meltwater offers its customers a very efficient and professional team of consultants and technical support. The features and quality are better than similar tools in the market.

What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't found any reason to dislike Meltwater. A slight inconvenience is that the insight report for a separate news article doesn't seem to be logged in anymore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We understand that systems are subject to frequent technical maintenance and updates. Occasionally it is unstable when used at midnight. But this is not a problem and we will continue to stay with Meltwater, and look forward to its innovative features.

What do you like best about the product?
Over the time that I've been using Meltwater, the capabilities and costs continue to improve. I appreciate their customer service and efforts to ensure I am getting the most of my subscription.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think I need to explore the tool more to personalize the dashboard to my needs but otherwise, I'm quite happy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I greatly appreciate the efforts Meltwater staff are making to continuously improve the product. I especially like the new partnership with Dow Jones that helps me capture news coverage I might not otherwise see. I also really love the partnership with TVEyes (?) to ensure I can capture and share broadcast coverage. The editing tool is easy to use and very handy.
Fantastic tool to dig for insights with long loading times
What do you like best about the product?
I like the support team as they are prompt to respond to questions and do so in a helpful manner. I like the flexibility of boolean searching and the ability to include custom categories to cut down the time it takes to find what you're looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the amount it time it takes to load results as well as the fact that switching between tabs in explore requires the reloading of the data even if no change has been made to the search. I don't like the fact that there is no way to save a custom period in a search to be able to quickly come back to it at a late date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater helps me to quickly and efficiently find what people are discussing online as well as share this information with my colleagues in a synthetic manner.
Get the media world in your pocket with Meltwater
What do you like best about the product?
I like Meltwater for all my up-to-the-minute news links mentioning our company. It gets them in real time and can segregate them into categories of my choosing. I also get an RSS feed to send to my company's Slack channel so others can also be in the know. I really like, and use, the various charts for illustrative purposes and decks, plus the measurement tools such as reach, ARV, countries, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the Meltwater tool could be easier to create reports from. The charts and data are great, but the UI/UX could be stronger in my opinion. I see they are starting to evolve the layout and categorization, and even solicting user feedback, so I am encouraged that they see this as an opportunity area for improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Everyone wants to know what the press release or articles REACH is, and that is identified for the user, along with the actual link which makes it easy to share, post on social and business sites, etc.

Packages can be a bit restrictive in the lower price point

Making media outreach really simple and not having to worry about maintaining or locating appropriate contact lists

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater's comprehensive and real-time media monitoring tools are the best in the market for fast and reliable intelligence gathering.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost of Meltwater is quite high, and while the price tag is worth it there are additional costs for expanded access that are difficult to anticipate when signing on for the service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater monitoring and real-time alerts have allowed our staff to keep our clients abreast of emerging news and issues ahead of our competitors.
Best Media Monitoring tool
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can ask and get answers to questions fast on the app; Maria is the best! Works best for competitor analysis. One can draw insights at a glance and dashboards are easy to share. Generally, after training, the platform is easy to use. I also love that I'm getting free certifications; if you ever want to branch into Kenya, hey, I'm available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the site is down when I need to get dashboards, few problems with sharing dashboards that get to users as blank. More could be done on the advanced boolean search to better help users understand how to create the searches. Also can compare search have more than 10 limits?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I',m analyzing different election candidates in my country. Meltwater has helped our clients see how they compete against other candidates on different social media platforms and get a general feel of the sentiment toward them. This shows our areas of weaknesses, and we can come up with strategies to do better.

Ask questions when stuck, someone is always ready to help you. Take time to attend the training.

Meltwater's combination of media monitoring, analysis and overlaying that onto journalist profiles is unbeatable
What do you dislike about the product?
Very little to dislike - if I have to pick, I'd say that the interface for journalist searches (source v journalist) could be improved.

Meltwater helps measure the effectiveness of our media relations efforts, provides clear benchmark analysis v competitors, and enables us to reach the right journalists at the right time.
