Outstanding platform that can really help to boost your business
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Meltwater is the explore function. This really helps you to keep on top of your brand on social media and catch any negative comments first off.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes my accounts aren't fully connected so I cannot see the entirety of the analytics so I have to speak to a customer service representative to sort this out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater has really helped us to see where our brand is at compared to competitors - showing us what points we should improve on and what our followers like to see.
Using Meltwater to Track Mentions
What do you like best about the product?
I like the usability of the dashboards and feel like they display info well

I still find that I am not easily able to use all the functions of Meltwater or know explicitly how it will benefit my workflow

Cool Platform if your team has the bandwidth!
What do you like best about the product?
The Meltwater platform was impressive and empowering.

Our internal team did not have the bandwidth to fully utilize the Meltwater influencer platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater was allowing us to connect with influencer and ambassadors helping us create more relevance digitall.
Great for news media monitoring, not great for social media.

Meltwater creates very useful charts mapping out mentions over time.
Some of the best notification systems for mentions of stories, it is especially helpful at tracking newswire mentions.
While Meltwater is not the best at anything, it is good to great at most things meaning your company can save on paying for specialized services.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is very cumbersome to switch between different date ranges on Meltwater, with a very timely process to not only change the date range (calendar only method, you cannot type it) and there are long load times.
Its social media monitoring is really only useful for Twitter and leaves out most other social media platforms. Its Twitter usefulness appears to be waning as under Musk some useful features like tracking verified users go down the trash thanks to Twitter Blue.
The media lists are terrible. Most emails are the generic submission line for the news outlet - this is most apparent with local reporters. The reporters' beats are also inaccurate.

The ability to track media mentions, compile press lists, send news wire releases, pitch via the outreach feature, and create reports with informative data and graphics. All of this makes my job so much easier than if I did it all by hand.
Gamechanger for client service
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater has been incredibly helpful in researching and shaping messaging for our clients. Sentiment analysis very much drives our decision making and client are super happy with the results! It is easy to use and the client ready presentations are so great to have on hand!
What do you dislike about the product?
So far there are no features that I dislike! There is a small learning curve in using the platform but the training session and academy videos are helpful and we are working through them! The only other downside for the firm is the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater is giving us the ability to collect more media data to present to our clients than we were ever able to attain previously. The data is presented nicely and is very understandable for us and clients to digest. It is also saving us alot of timing is manual data collection!

What do you like best about the product?
Being a beginner in analytics means, I benefited greatly from all the options at my disposal. I appreciate the simplicity and versatility of Sysomos, particularly its only input requirement for searches. My favorite feature is how it visualizes data with word clouds and statistical groupings, making results easily understandable. In contrast, other similar programs may require more time to parse through metrics. Sysomos truly sets itself apart with its remarkable data visualization capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our account manager's persistent scheduling of sales calls is quite irritating. Additionally, the requirement to sign in every time I visit their website is a nuisance that has been difficult for me to solve. Finally, if there have been any issues with using their application, they are unresolved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The wonderful thing about Meltwater is that you can monitor both mainstream and social media from a single location. It makes finding people in your area or researching various topics much easier without switching between different platforms.
Unrivaled Quality: Meltwater
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Meltwater Engage! The user interface is aesthetically pleasing, intuitive, and incredibly intuitive. It's an excellent resource for our Communications team - training new employees with its simple set-up and post-creation capabilities. In addition, I found the news aggregation component extremely effective in searching for current topics; altering searches as needed was no problem. Monitoring capability adds an extra layer of convenience, which is very beneficial down the line. All in all, it's been nothing but positive experiences since we started utilizing this product!
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm incredibly pleased with the extensive capabilities of Meltwater, but there are a few aspects I find inconvenient. My biggest grievance is our account manager's persistent scheduling of sales calls. Additionally, being unable to remain logged on when accessing the website can sometimes be quite pesky. Lastly, although prices for these services may exceed my current budget, updating and expanding could also prove costly in time down the line.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using Meltwater, our biggest problem was measuring the success of our public relations activities. Now that we have access to historical data, it has become easier to set annual goals and track progress in each fiscal year.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the integration of social media analytics with external earned media. And my clients love the Ad Value Equivalency.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like that Meltwater is continually rolling out new features to more comprehensive product, but I wish they would keep some of the original metrics that clients love (like AVE).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater provides me with all of the metrics I need in one place. Before we signed on with Meltwater, I had to manually search for data to show the value and efficacy of our campaigns.

What do you like best about the product?
If you're looking to get granular insights into your media coverage, Meltwater is a solid tool to use. Easy to set up; nice UI; does what it says.
What do you dislike about the product?
Working with Meltwater is a miserable experience. The sales team is aggressive to the point of harassment. Before I was in a position to buy, I had to tell them to stop contacting me, or I would block them. The account managers are constantly trying to upsell and would call my mobile phone out of the blue. They have "gotcha" contracts, designed to lock you in if you miss the renewal cutoff by just a couple of days. The product is good but it is marred by the entire experience of working with the organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us to get a granular overview of our media coverage, comparing us vs our competition and eliminating all the spammy media coverage. It makes it easy to measure media coverage vs KPIs.
