What do you like best about the product?
With businesses becoming more global every day, the requirement of cross-business partner integration is more than ever. Every enterprise can only stay relevant when they can balance their products, services in an ecosystem of partners and customers in the market. As technology leaps to cloud, digital, AI, the most primitive requirement that was and will be is communication. Businesses across regions, countries, continents, and technology need to communicate and share information, orders, bills, invoices. Things that make the business tick. Managed file transfer is the solution every enterprise needs today to communicate across partners. BMC has found a fantastic solution where they have used their Flagship product Control-M a leader the "Enterprise workload automation solution" also to integrate the managed file transfer sevice. The best feature that Control-M 's MFT has is the seamless integration across with the scheduling tackling the most critical problem faced by any organization in terms of managing the pull and push data requests, centralized monitoring, workflow design.
What do you dislike about the product?
Manage File Transfer of control-M needs to evolve in terms of advanced features and protocols of data transfer, and it will be helpful to have features using which critical industry common jobs can be created reducing the overall turn over time of implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Traditional organizations and enterprises utilize primitive methods of OS-level file transfers like FTP and Scripting. MFT solution is to ensure that secured transfer is possible encrypting the data at transit and rest. Security is one of the essential features required today by all enterprises.
There are many benefits realized by using Managed File transfer today by clients.
1. Centralized management of transfers.
2. Secured and Encrypted transfer methods.

Flexible Orchestration , User Friendly , great Tool compared to CA7, ESP and zeke

None so far , if BMC provides a studio will be helpful .. at times , I dislike for logging into webpage .

The main thing is ETL flows orchestration in Control-M .. Installed Python , Datastage and Mainframe batch flows. Setting up successors and predecessors requirement , triggering mechanism , Flexibilty

It should be made hourly scans instead of one time load of batch database.

The tool is user-friendly and needs a short training time to start.
We can shedule more the 50k jobs daily.
Control-M cops very well in all kinds of jobs with dependencies between the jobs of Various tools and technologies.
The best feature is it will send Emails regarding tasks after completion, Failure. It can retry jobs.

What do you dislike about the product?
Since it is a Newbie, not many cons. Here are some which I observed:-
The upgrade process could use some improvement as it is a little bit complex.
Failed job Color Should be changed to red or any. Dependencies have issues if the cyclic job fails and we try to re-run.

Batch schedule where you want to handle complex dependencies and where you interact with multiple tools.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is well suited for large and extra-large workload automation requirements. More than 50K jobs on a daily schedule.
Support is great, and they will come up with solutions in no time.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of configuring the jobs makes Control-m a product for all enterprise implementations.
What do you dislike about the product?
The web interface should bring more capability of making changes to the jobs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Implementation of daily, weekly, monthly scheduled jobs is very easy to implement and easy to maintain.

What do you like best about the product?
Everything is perfectly set without much human being interventions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too costly so many low budget companies interested for for all other cheap options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Scheduling of batch jobs which were running before in traditional way so its is convenient for customers to get things as perfect time without much delay and also its cheap for them..

Still not an easy tool for everyone to learn
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides an enterprise solution for mainframe job scheduling. Job abends, and debugging becomes more effortless.
If you're looking for an app to schedule a job, here's it!
What do you like best about the product?
The visual interface is very nice. You can move the jobs with drag and drop and create easily. Set the jobs that need to work from planning. When that day comes, let it come to monitoring and be triggered by itself. Especially, it made ftp work much easier, which we often do. You get the job done with arrows. Excellent.

Bash scripting is required to create an OS job. Yes I know there is no other way but it would be nice if it was done like drag and drop
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We manage jobs that we used to manage with crontab on the linux server in the past, much more easily than in an environment where we can now see them.

If you are looking for a product to do this job, you can choose Control-m with your eyes closed.
A useful product for automation

The visual interface is very nice. You can add modules by drag and drop. Besides monitoring and planning, forecast is also functional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most things are done by creating an OS job. Bash scripting is required for this.
