How Entro Helps Safeguard Sensitive Customer Information
What do you like best about the product?
The application gathers data on potentially exposed clear-text secrets from a wide range of platforms. It is capable of detecting various types of clear-text secrets through both regex matching and AI-powered analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's encouraging to see that the platform is constantly evolving and being enhanced. However, certain configurations, like setting up email notification templates and enabling web hooks, are currently restricted to the backend Entro team. Allowing customers to manage these features themselves would enable quicker adjustments and greater flexibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our associates sometimes receive sensitive information from customers, which is often automatically entered into our ticketing systems. Entro has helped us by scanning these systems for such secrets and notifying us whenever a detection occurs. This enables us to identify when data exposure happened, understand how it occurred, and determine who was involved. We use this information to help reduce data exposure and to prevent potential insider threats from misusing those connection details.
Outstanding Features and Collaborative Support Team
What do you like best about the product?
The product offers a robust set of features that keeps expanding as new integrations are added. The support team is responsive and open to collaboration, working with us to address our needs and further improve the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform lacks support for multi-tenancy via a single main parent tenant, but this was not a deal breaker for us, as we managed to find a workaround. However, the built-in RBAC features are rather limited. The recent removal of public documentation has also made things more difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool helps with identifying secret exposure and assessing risk, which is essential for improving credential management practices. It supports the development of more secure methods for handling sensitive information.
Excellent Visibility and Control for Secrets and Non-Human Identities at Enterprise Scale
What do you like best about the product?
As part of the security engineering team, I find Entro especially helpful for secrets discovery and non-human identity governance, providing clear visibility into exposed secrets, service accounts, and machine identities across our environments, and allowing our team to operate more efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
Entro has been extremely reliable and useful overall — I’d just like to see improvements in reporting customization and deeper integrations with additional third-party security tools to make it even better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Entro helps us automate workflows, saves time on manual secrets discovery and rotation, and improves our ability to reduce identity-based attack surface and prevent credential-related incidents. It offers strong coverage across multiple secret types with accurate detection and useful filtering, allowing us to quickly prioritize real risks and focus on remediation rather than triage.

Entro's extensive integration capabilities and its ability to perform scans directly within the CI/CD pipeline

Support for multi-tenancy hasn’t been implemented yet

Visibility into exposed secrets across our tech stack was limited. Gaining this visibility allows us to better understand ownership and drive accountability among developers.

I find Entro very useful for automating secret detection and helping streamline workflows. It provides near real-time visibility into risks and accelerates remediation.

I’d like to see expanded data export options as the ones that already exist.

As a Principal Product Security Engineer, I love that Entro allows me to automate secret scanning and build custom workflows like our Tines alert flow that improves notification speed and accuracy.

I’d like more custom rule options and deeper integration with internal ticketing systems.
