Delightful alternative to excessive google docs
What do you like best about the product?
Notion has a plethora of features and customization options while remaining simplistic and easy to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had trouble in the past with accessing notion on mobile and sometimes pages have long load times if they are complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team collaboration is easier within notion. Google docs are great for drafting marketing content or articles but notion offers a robust set of options. Things such as multiple view pages - where you can see a calendar view, table view, etc are especially useful when working in teams. I use notion both personally and with my business team.
Great Wiki for both personal and professional
What do you like best about the product?
Mostly full autonomy on stylizing and formatting without the huge learning curve associated with teams at scale (as well as the ease of collaboration!)
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the functionalities for tables/charts can be a bit limiting. Personally, the emojis can also be a bit distracting
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With full autonomy comes a bit of issues with updating across teams. Luckily though, there is an activity log to view revisions.
Great if you use it properly!
What do you like best about the product?
With Notion’s minimalist approach, Notion takes home the win. In Notion, you can change your database to view the gallery, list, table and board view, even calendar view! They're all easy to read and fully customizable. Notion can fill in tons of gaps in your team’s organization. Where other platforms fall short, Notion has come up with a solution.
When it comes to collecting documents on Notion for further use, you have almost no limitations as to what type of document you can use. For notes and docs, you can upload documents from your Evernote, Word, Google Docs or Dropbox Paper, which means that you no longer will have to worry about scouring these programs individually to find a certain piece of information.
It doesn’t stop there though—you can embed tons of information from a wide rather of apps and programs, like Google Maps, Twitter, Typeform and Codepen, right into your Notion docs. Your team revolves around tasks and projects, so Notion has a great solution for integrating your other project management programs to help keep everything in one place.
For example, you can import your Trello boards or Asana’s team management tools into Notion to organize and manage all from one spot.
By integrating other powerful tools, you can fully harness Notion to manage, monitor and communicate with your team.
However, if you’re not already using a workflow or project management tool, Notion has its own unique system of creating and managing workflows. It can become the project management tool you always knew you needed.

What do you dislike about the product?
I’d recommend people do their research into what features are the most suitable and whether Notion meets those needs. Whilst Notion can be used as a Trello, Todoist and Evernote replacement, it isn’t going to fulfill all the needs you and with these applications.
From my own opinions, it replaces Trello - due to the board nature and databases - but not fully Evernote and Todoist right now. To fully replace Evernote it does need a little more focus on note-taking, and with Todoist it needs a LOT more.

For tasks and projects, you can choose from list-style templates like to-dos, checklists, and workflows, but you can also select templates with varying formattings like the calendar template or the roadmap template, which are both designed to help you organize and visualize upcoming tasks and projects.
Collaborate on policies with Notion!
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Notion handles security and version control. I can tag a specific set of people and whenever there are changes, I am alerted via email that one of the people has edited the document.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike how it's hard to track your documents over the months and years. I've written several things that have been lost in obscurity. It would be useful if there was a directory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Notion is our knowledge base throughout the company for policies and procedures.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Notion. I do not know of any other software out there that is like it and that can be used on a company wide basis.
A do-anything text based organiser
What do you like best about the product?
It's so easy to use the keyboard to generate all kinds of items from simple notes and lists, to To-Dos, toggles, reminders, up to full fledged database type entries.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with anything this powerful there is a learning curve. However, there is also plenty of contextual help. You can encounter most possibilities just by typing slash/.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has replaced Evernote for me as a daily organiser, note taking and work planning app.
It's not a complete replacement for Evernote (which kicks ass btw) by any means, however it excels in this important aspect.

Great tool totally free for students
What do you like best about the product?
Notion has a very clean and slick look and feel to it. It is easy and intuitive to use and lets you work in a personal workspace as well as in separate work workspaces.
I used it heavily for planning and writing my thesis. The minimalist style made it easy to focus while writing and editing.

What do you dislike about the product?
When I last used the desktop app is had some issues that prevented my from using it (this was around a year ago though so it may have been fixed). The web based version works great and is what I have been using
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Random note taking, thought organization, to do lists, editing. It is an all in one work system for small teams or individuals
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Simple and slick
New to Notion, but loving it!
What do you like best about the product?
Notion definitely helps in keeping conversations organized and keeping track of projects. The dashboard is very easy to follow and shows you all of your overall projects in one trackable place.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, we haven't run into much trouble
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have seen that it is very easy to use, that all teams pick it up quickly and it gives you a good quick overview of the progress of all projects. It also integrates with slack, so all updates can be included in a specific channel so teams know what is happening at all times.
Notion - Life Organized
What do you like best about the product?
I like the pages and the integration of spreadsheets with the calendar view
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was further options for the size of text and boxes. I tend to like to see everything in one view without scrolling, and being able to shrink the text further would allow that
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Personal and work organization. I like being able to check the to-do lists off and then re-categorizing points as completed or whichever label I decide. This allows me to keep track of what I'm working on while keeping track of what I've already completed
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for software that integrates seamlessly through your desktop computer, Chrome browser, phone app, and more, this is the one to do it. You are able to upload existing spreadsheets and create pages using the data. Then you're able to extract and filter the data as you please and turn the form into a calendar or a to-do list.
Takes some time to figure out initially but a great tool
What do you like best about the product?
- Sharing of files and documents with each other within the organization and collaborative editing
- Documents within documents
- Notifies you about edits through mail
- Minimum icons at the top, but all of them fed into keyboard. For example, you insert a table by first pressing '/' for commands, after which you select table

What do you dislike about the product?
- Took time to figure out initially
- Some functions that seem like should exist, do not. For example, while entering numbers in a table column, the column sum should be available
- Would like the reminder function to become better
- Integrations with commonly used softwares such as Slack, Asana, Zoom

Recommendations to others considering the product:
While it is a good collaborative sharing and editing software, it would be worth to check out other softwares as well. Consider your objectives carefully before going for it. You may be looking for a to-do list and a task management system, but this does not exactly serve the full purpose as an Asana.
Easy to use and interesting way to structure information
What do you like best about the product?
It's friendly to use and quite easy to get started with.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not very customizable and elements of UX are confusing (such as switching accounts).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helped us create a basic knowledge base that we eventually transferred to Jira Service Desk. It was problematic in that the UI was too basic to use as a permanent knowledge base.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's great to get started and free for students.
