Great for design! But, terrible CMS UI

  • October 01, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Amazing flexibility for handling breakpoints (mobile, tablet, desktop, etc). Very helpful tools for formatting CMS content in the editor. Stable previewer
What do you dislike about the product?
The CMS is _unusable_. I am desperately trying to find any kind of third party integration that lets me have a usable interface for managing content. I gave this an 8 out of 10 because if you need design help, then it's perfect, but if you are looking at this for managing content at any level of scale, then it is unusable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Good: A good responsive webpage with lots of information and many leaf pages.
Not good: Scalable publishing / editing of dynamic content including images, articles/blogs, up-to-date event information, and speaker bios.

Webflow Review

  • September 02, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to adjust elements for all screen sizes and the interactions work well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I was frustrated with having to use zapier with forms as there were bugs reported when doing this in my case. I also didn't like how the slider element can't usee height:auto. Its a longer work flow to build something in webflow..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using webflow along with udesly to build a custom shopify theme. I have also used it to build pages for clients that feel WordPress is necessary using a plugin that will host webflow pages through wordpress.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Should have previous knowledge of CSS and HTML

A unique Web Builder I can sorta get behind.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use. Everything is there to make the website look how you want it to. All while keeping it 100% responsive. Sort of impressive to be honest!
What do you dislike about the product?
Like most Web builders, development isn't the only thing you have to pay for. The Hosting is kind of expensive. It's all proprietary so there is no using your own host, DNS, etc. It s a one-stop shop and that makes me nervous putting all of my eggs in one basket.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating a web site and marketing pages super-fast the test/launch sequence is killer for those crunch time changes.

Great for Designers, Designers interested in Code, or Designers looking to expand their skills

  • August 27, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Webflow combines the best of design with a WYSIWYG, code, and visual editor all at the same time. If you don't know HTML and CSS, there will be a bit of a learning curve, but only minor, and you will learn so quickly it's like it wasn't even there. Plus, you are teaching yourself HTML and CSS while making dope websites. The support and learning community is huge, so if you want to take it step by step and do some in-depth tutorials, they are available for you to dive in. I also love that I can work on several projects with just one tool and one subscription, the only tie you pay additionally is when you decide to host the site and make it live.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not too many complaints except that sometimes you can get stuck because you aren't sure if you should have padding vs margin or fkexbox vs div etc. but these are all things that you will learn more about as you learn the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Web flow makes managing multiple client websites in one place a breeze. Also, the CMS functionality is excellent, especially since you can give some control to your client so they can make update themselves. The other benefit is just staying on top of web trends and keeping my HTML and CSS skills fresh.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a designer looking to get into a powerful design tool that will not only bring your ideas to life but also help you build out your coding skills, Webflow is the tool for you!

I love Webflow and use it every day to build websites for my clients as well as my personal projects

What do you like best about the product?
I love that the Webflow team has a huge library of video lessons and tutorials for each question. Literally, if I don't know how to build something in WF, they already have a lesson about that!

Besides, I'm very happy about the simplicity of use for both me (Designers panel) and my clients (Editor panel). I use WF every day to build projects for my clients as well as for creating my personal projects. It's fast, simple, and awesome. And I am absolutely in love with Webflow interactions!
What do you dislike about the product?
There're no downsides, trust me. If you use Webflow, you're a winner.
I just wonder why people are still using WordPress, or Tilda, or any other site builder. Many of my clients come to me thinking they would get a site on WordPress. Nope, no way! I show them Webflow and they fall in love with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem I solve with Webflow is time. I used to work on WordPress before and it used to take me weeks and even months to build a website. It was also very hard to maintain and update it. It was so painful compared to my Webflow experience. Now it takes me hours or a couple of days to build a fully functional and responsive website! That's incredible! And WordPress sucks, lol!

I build my personal projects on Webflow too!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I advise you to sign up and test Webflow yourself. They have a free trial that allows you to create your first 2-page project. Check their video tutorials library - they have everything! It might be tricky at first to learn how to use classes and styles, but once you do - you'll love Webflow. Also, if you're stuck - reach out to the Webflow forum or support, they respond fast and are always helpful.

Extremely happy and amazed!

What do you like best about the product?
I just followed the University tutorials, and in a week, I had already built two small websites without writing a single line of code.
The community is fantastic, and you can find beneficial resources to improve your skills as a Webflow developer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The number of sites that one can have with the lite subscription seems a bit limited, mainly because at that stage is where we experiment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are bringing an almost pixel-perfect design to life without relying on the skills of a developer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
View Webflow University courses and exercises, as well as search for more resources on YouTube to help you raise your Webflow skills level.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI is awesome and very easy to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
The CMS lacks the power the Wordpess has.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can design stunning websites in much less time with Webflow. It is so much easier to make design changes on my websites without the worry of breaking something (in most instances).
