A very comprehensive database management program that is a great tool, but I'm struggling to learn
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of inputting names and contacts I'd have to say is the best feature and affects my job the most. My job as an administrative assistant only really requires limited knowledge of this program, label creation, database input and searching for addresses, but all these are very easy to use and I LOVE how easy labels are to create!
What do you dislike about the product?
I know there are so many more features I could use, but I don't because I feel they're hard to understand, like the filtering is very confusing to me. I wish there video tutorials that I can watch at my free time instead of Webinars occasionally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
That's hard for me to answer with the kind of user I am, just data input and retrieval and labels. While it sure does make these very easy, I have really had issues with Excel/Word to run mail merges for labels being tricky and this is a breeze on here. So, I guess, that would be my problem that was solved.
Change for the best!
What do you like best about the product?
Bonterra Network for Good is the only online donation platform I've used. So I don't have a lot to compare it to. With that being said, I find it universally great for tracking donors and their donations. It offers a lot of features to initiate contact with current, old and lapsed donors. I would also like to mention that there have been significant changes that have made it easier to use, easily integrated with QuickBooks as well as clear and precise AI help to address any support issues I may come accross.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the cost to be a little on the high side. The price would be the biggest factor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Initally when I started using Bonterra Network for Good you could not see (at least to my knowledge) exactly what donations were included in deposits. It made our accounting difficult to understand. However, the new ability to see the deposit dates on the reports helps drastically.
Donors will love it!
What do you like best about the product?
Easy access for our donors and our company as well. It is easy to maneuver and follow the steps to make the donations. The fees are low and everything is going to a good cause. Bonterra network for good is set up with easy to follow steps for every aspect of the website. It makes it very easy to make annual or yearly donations to the company that you are passionate about.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I like the system. I have no dislikes. The system is set up for an easy following process of donating to your favorite company, or fund raiser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To track our donations aside from our other income, and to be able to keep in contact with our donors.
Great all in one CRM
What do you like best about the product?
I like having everything in one place. It's pretty easy to use. I love how when someone does anything, it's all documented in the system:bid on an auction item, donate, open an email. I love the metrics.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost keeps going up! The interface on the auctions for the donor could be a little more friendly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking donor relations, giving, emails, even helps with the accounting, and now you have added volunteers.
We pay because this is a good system!
What do you like best about the product?
Once you understand how to use the system, it is easy to use, allows you to divide contacts into groups so you can send specific communications to various contacts and the donation platform is easy for donors and enables us to manage donations quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use the system to communicate with donors and clients. The systems sometimes bounces non-gmail emails and that can be frustrating. It is a setting that needs to be reset every now and again. Also, bounced emails are not removed from your contacts, so when you review annually, you must request they delete the bounced emails. If you do not request this, the bounced emails could place you in a higher contact level and the system costs more money.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They have helped us resolve the bounced contact situation to prevent our account from going to the next contact level, they provide great customer service and can help you resolve all challenges you cannot figure out. Very supportive system!
Simple and Effective Donor Management
What do you like best about the product?
Bonterra has been a lifesaver in terms of donor management. Using the contacts feature and email blasts we have been able to put out higher and more frequent newsletters and mailings to our donors and subscribers. Onboarding was made incredibly simple and the customer service team took care of our entire import from Little Green Light. The templates for donor receipts and thank you's have also been a huge bonus! Overall we are very happy with the system and cannot wait for future updates, as each has made the platform even better than the last.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside to Bonterra is not having an easy way to link two donors of the same household to the same donation. There is a household donation view, but due to the way donations are input they must be made by one person, officially. I also hope a future update will allow us to look up donors by address in the Giving tab, not just the contacts tab. Those two are my only wishes!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bonterra (NFG) has made it much easier to collaboratively approach donor management and communications. Now our executive director, marketing, and accountant can all easily log in and have access to the same important information they need for their job, rather than having to ask one another for specific reports or mailing lists because only one person has a software license. It's also so much better because it's web-based, allowing us to work from home or other locations when needed.
So far, so good!
What do you like best about the product?
To me the tool seems user friendly and intuitive. I have no qualms with Network for Good, despite having heard feedback from others that it is not their favorite. I have compared Network for Good to other leading CRM's and found that it does the same as the others. For now, i'll be sticking with NFG. I like the easy ability to add contacts, create households, and import and export data. Customer service is also pretty timely.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish that it had more features in the editing email capabilities. Also, I wish it had a more intuitive design around donor journeys, and prompted me for next steps that I should be taking based off inputted touch-points or data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It keeps all my contacts in one place and allows me to create households. It creates ease in mailing and contact lists.
User-Friendly Platform with Outstanding Support and Room to Grow
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Bonterra Network for Good is their outstanding customer support and commitment to helping nonprofits succeed. From the very beginning, their team is responsive, knowledgeable, and proactive—whether it's troubleshooting an issue, helping us customize a campaign, or following up to ensure everything is running smoothly.
The platform is user-friendly, but what really sets it apart is the wealth of training opportunities they offer—from live webinars to on-demand tutorials—making it easy for staff and volunteers at all levels to build confidence and maximize impact. Their personalized onboarding and continued engagement make us feel like a valued partner, not just a customer.

What do you dislike about the product?
One area for improvement with Bonterra Network for Good is that some features aren’t as intuitive as I would expect, especially given how user-friendly the rest of the platform is. Occasionally, certain functions take a few extra steps to locate, which can slow things down. That said, their excellent customer service and responsive support team usually help resolve issues quickly, and the available training resources go a long way in helping users navigate any challenges.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bonterra Network for Good is helping us solve several key challenges in nonprofit fundraising and donor engagement. It centralizes our donor data, streamlines online giving, and simplifies campaign management - all in one place. This has saved valuable time and allowed us to focus more on building relationships rather than managing spreadsheets or juggling multiple systems.
The platform’s donor segmentation and communication tools help us personalize outreach and steward donors more effectively, which has led to stronger engagement. The reporting features also make it easier to track impact and share results with our board and stakeholders, enhancing transparency and trust.

Bonterra Network for Good for a non-profit
What do you like best about the product?
The CRM is user friendly and implementation was fairly easy. They have templates for campaign giving and functionality to handle events and silent auctions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There customer service doesn't have a phone number, they want you to use a chat feature which doesn't work well with my internet browser. They can't refund a donation quickly if someone gave by mistake even though I notified them within hours of it happening. There is no good method for tracking grants received with this software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping track of all our donors and sending out newsletters monthly. It's nice to track the activity per donor interaction.
