Lot of plugins available, integrations with other tools (Jira,..) that keeps them in sync (Jira ticket statuses are updated on loading the document)
Supportings creating interactive tables in the document with filters on columns
Gliffy plugin for creating flow diagrams, sequence diagrams is very helpful and easy
Has a desktop application which allows to edit the assests (images,..) using desktop tools and saving them auto-
Provides granular access control to documents

Efficient to write and collaborate over docs, with crazy integration with Atlassian products

  • October 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
For a team that started with JIRA for project management, we were looking for a solution to manage our business and product documentation, and Confluence fit the bill perfectly. Its integration with JIRA ensured that any stories and features we plan to roll out are 2-way synced and thus, super easy to update. The document management system follows a tree based hierarchy, and has an efficient markdown/rich text editor with shortcuts to speed up documenting. It has a real time logger so that changes can be traced. Integration with Bitbucket is also possible, as is with another set of Atlassian marketplace products like Calendar
What do you dislike about the product?
It lacks the level of customizability that Notion provides, like ingrained Kanban boards, lists etc. Speed of saving could also be improved. And yes, Dark mode - we're waiting for you since forever
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence to manage our business and product documentation, including business and functional analysis documents, meeting documents and more. It's easy to collaborate on shared documents, share them and export them, and also track updates. Integration with Jira and Bitbucket is a great help as well.

Better than most content and library management systems

  • October 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the search feature the best, as the results show pretty close to what I'm looking for and have a file type next to them instead of only an entry text
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a huge fan of the layout options as sometimes they can get a little too cluttered with sidebar views
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the problem of securely housing all our policies and documentation

Confluence Review

  • October 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That it integrates with a variety of other software solutions
What do you dislike about the product?
It's challenging to use some of the embedded macros in confluence that help improve page usability - for example, using embedded boxes that allow for tabs and drawers on the front and are very cumbersome to use on the editing end. There is a lot of scrolling to figure out which box you are in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
documentation of internal process and resources

Great for keeping a written record of work, has some issues with information architecture

  • October 19, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence encourages collaboration with your teammates, and it is easily accessible on the web. You don't have to deal with stored drives and shared folders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Information architecture is sloppy - pages are nested under one another, and often times important information gets buried too easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a team, we use Confluence to collaborate and keep each other accountable. By keeping a written record of our work, it has been much easier to encourage transparency within the organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence is great - just make sure that your team is trained on how to use it, and that they are encouraged to do so. Confluence gets tricky when only half the team is using it.

Confluence makes it easy for my team and I to manage and collaborate on team documents.
What do you dislike about the product?

Great internal wiki

  • October 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence integrates with all other Atlassian products which makes project and product management as seamless an experience as you can get. With regards to the individual pages, the templates which have increased a lot over the last year are really helpful for giving your documentation some structure and easy to fill out. The macros are helpful though occasionally need to look up how to implement them properly, but the confluence documentation on macros is really helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can feel a bit clunky to navigate through different projects and pages within. While it's easy to create and move items from the left hand vertical panel, I don't feel there's a seamless way to navigate and find what you need through it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our company provides all materials through confluence, with detailed documentation on how to's, what's, why's etc. It's the company wiki and integrates into Jira where we run our product and project management through.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're using Jira already, it's a no brainer to adopt Confluence as your internal Wiki.
