Very useful to do documentation
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using confluence from the past four years. It is very useful for documentation and shows the information globally. With a single link, we can share the information with anyone. We can create multiple pages and document the information without fear of loss. Also, we can hide the info from other people if we don't want to share it with them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing is there to dislike the confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am documenting each and every steps which we folow to develope the software or whatever tool we use all those steps, so that any fresher or any other person can folow the same steps and get the result.
A great documentation tool for teams
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence provide a slick interface to edit documents and share them inside a team. You can easily mention people, ask them to do edits and get the best of everyone.
What do you dislike about the product?
Albeit being a very easy tool to use when you "just" want to write, you will need to focus and learn the tool to get its best and really enjoy it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence allows our teams to share knowledge, document design decisions, move faster and cleaner.
A dictionary for your company
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence can be a complete dictionary for your company. It saves time and answers questions extremely efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I guess my only "dislike" is that I wish the search engine within confluence showed more specific results
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
everything! We make articles that help our whole company by saving question asking and retention time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend it, especially for workplaces with flexible schedules and remote working where it isn't guaranteed to get a speedy answer for common questions
The most intuitive Knowledge Repository you can have
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence supports my company of 4000 employees by allowing all teams to maintain relevant information/docs within each page, which is also easily searchable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be a bit more aligned to the current standards but again, that's not a showstopper at all. Apart from this, there are no negative points to Confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Access to crucial information such as Compliance documents, training material, etc. within seconds
2. Smarter Search Engine that guides users to relevant pages
3. Maintaining private/public pages for all teams

Best Project Management and Collaboration Tool
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a Growth Product manager and use Confluence and its sister entities for task and project management and other documentation. Its seamless integration with Jira and other plugins helps to smoothen up the work. The UX is self-explanatory, and you can view different spaces of various teams and can create your workspace, and invite collaborators to contribute. On the homepage itself, you can see the popular workspaces and read any documentation that you like and maybe draw references to create your documentation. You can view analytics for your Page or space and small details like 1 min read really helps with engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no downsides to Confluence that I can think of, just that its a bit on the expensive side and meant for big enterprises only; the small startups can't afford it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use confluence across our organization for task management and collaboration. It helps in the easy exchange of ideas between various teams; for example, if someone has any doubt regarding my work, then they can quickly go through the documentation, and when employees leave then this documentation helps in ease of work transfer to their replacements. While documenting any task/project, I can link google sheets and mention collaborators. It makes working in a remote environment friction-free.
Great tool for collaboration!
What do you like best about the product?
I have used lot of collaboration tools but the way it saves version history is very easy and if lot of people are using a same space to collaborate its very easy to track it down.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't feel there is much to dislike about it. But the confluence team can work on its visuals, can introduce more plugins that will make documenting more manageable and visually appealing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am daily using it to collaborate with my team for documenting project stuff and sometimes we also use it as a tracker for tracking things down. More or less its part of a daily routine now
Atlassian products keep getting better
What do you like best about the product?
The integration between JIRA and Confluence really toes in task management with knowledge management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much, the UI has greatly improved recently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Disparate systems used for task tracking and storing knowledge articles, support guides and information used to manage projects.
Organizations wiki and collaboration tool for making teamwork easier
What do you like best about the product?
Users can create blogs, write important notes, short presentations, etc., on the confluence pages. They can share, comment, like the content. Multiple teams can work together on dedicated solutions and share the outputs on the pages, of course with secure access. Confluence has a user-friendly and straightforward GUI with many productivity mapping tools linked. The best part is that it is a browser-based tool, so no more space is utilized for installation. It also has a mobile application, so I can check the content over mobile. It has dedicated templates per user reuirements. It is really flexible tool, so one can mold it as per requirement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence is created for Jira users to allow collaboration, so it favors software engineer's requirements. Hardware engineers like me have limitations. It is less secure as a single sign-on is sufficient. Confluence pages have 'Notify watchers' option by default enabled, so once the page is saved, it triggers the email to all watchers. This is annoying as the watcher's inbox gets flooded with confluence notifications. Tool doesn't have a spelling check option or grammar check as well. Downloading Confluence documents as PDFs doesn’t always function correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mostly use the confluence wiki pages for writing my learnings and sharing them across the organization. Usually, attach the URL's and pdf or word documents to the confluence pages. Write sprint retrospectives. Add calendar with annual entries and targets for goal settings. Use space Tools for assigning access and permissions, also for page reordering and for document management.
A crucial business tool for documentation and process management.
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is an easy and intuitive way to capture client notes or internal process documentation. It easily allows collaboration and privacy controls. It creates a 'living deliverable' that can be changed over time as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface leaves something to be desired. It indeed emphasizes function over form. As a result, sometimes created content can be buried in a sea of sub pages and things can be challenging to find (without searching).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence has quickly become our hub to establish a clients' center of excellence. Confluence allows us to document easily business processes, roles, and timelines. It also allows us to share them with the client directly.
