Easy, and simple tool for authoring
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a very simple tool to use, and at the same time the authored content becomes readily available to the end-user upon publishing.
What do you dislike about the product?
That we can't create book or toc and that its a flat structure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For quick availability of information and for immediate consumption, I think Confluence is recommended.
Using Confluence for Documentation
What do you like best about the product?
It is a linear documentation software. Supports most of the documentation parts, like tables, lists, and figures. But cannot handle complexity. Easy to use for a simple documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to create modular documentation. Handling lengthy tables, complex list items, sharing the content, and importing content from other file types is difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is free software, so to get started with a documentation project is good. Was able to use this software for about 2-3 years until the documents became very complex.
Best Web Application for Online Documentation
What do you like best about the product?
Document titles are in form of nested links and navigate from one document page to another with ease. We can also create a document page with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a good chances that a user may lost the sequence while reading the doc in the Confluence since there are too many links.

Managing Documents in Confluence
What do you like best about the product?
In Confluence you can store documents and allows to monitor the tasks. It integrates seamlessly with other applications such as Google drive. It can centralize all the documents and can be shared with other users effectively
What do you dislike about the product?
Mobile version needs to be improved as it does not have all features as web. Even though we can access the documents and save it, we are unable to see the changes occurred

In our project management this tool has been great in use for efficiency in dealing with project documents.I also use it very often to read the documented work of other people

Would be good to allow more dynamic ranges to edit pages and make it more customisable

allow to centralise all our documentation in 1 single place which is super easy to access

I can create pages in a few seconds and organize them very quickly

The layout options are limited and the search is not very good.

With Confluence, I can centralize help pages and make them available to my team.
Powerful, but, Sometimes Unnecessarily Frustrating
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very clean and intuitive. You can automatically generate a Table of Contents. You can collaborate with your colleagues and easily link to a heading in the document, an outside source, or Jira issue. There are many, many plugins hidden behind the Insert button in the editor. You can even customize, say, a Lucidchart diagram you inserted.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ironically, the thing about a clean interface is that it's easy for impatient users to miss features. Also, when inserting images, you're forced to increase both height and width, without the option of one or the other. Recently, I also ran into an annoyance where I'm not able to have section numbers show up next to section headings, like they do in the automatic table of contents. I would've had to get our admin to spend great amounts of money an app.
It boils down to little things missing, which require apps or a different Confluence plan, that are holding back an otherwise great tool.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us document our organizational practices for numerous areas in Technology, and collaborate in doing so. It also pairs well with Jira and the many other possible integrations through the editor.

The Interface is Easy to Use

What do you dislike about the product?
Whne it come to create Flowcharts / Flow diagrams - the Interface lags - Need a good allignment mechnism , auto arrange option.
