Awesome Product for Docs
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to create and maintain docs for enterprises
What do you dislike about the product?
Lacks good integration with tools such as slack
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maintaining Docs. Its well managed through Confluence.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good product to use at enterprise level
Documenters Dream
What do you like best about the product?
It's very simple to create a navigational hierarchy that makes sense.
What do you dislike about the product?
Page security permissions are challenging - they inherit the permissions from the page above in the hierarchy, and you cannot override that on a per-page basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documenting product, internal decisions... scoping projects, team building, organization.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Have an internal champion to help guide teams into setting up their spaces to the best effect.
Great tool for gathering all info in one place
What do you like best about the product?
I like how all team members can get access to these pages and utilize it as a log for activities during their work periods.
What do you dislike about the product?
I personally have not come across any issues with this particular software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We like to use it as our shift logs and it has been great for those who are working a shift to log into this page, fill in what happened on their shift, and submit it for everyone to access.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you use the latest version
Great doc system, bar none
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence's price point is excellent. Low price, tons of features. We use Confluence in our work environment and it works great! The demo worked perfectly. We installed it in our lab first and tested it and couldn't find anything wrong. So rolled the production paid copy and it works great. Never have issues. Structure is great. I can't recommend it enough. Easy to use. Easy enough for ANYONE.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find nothing wrong with Confluence. Price, function, and features, hard to find a comparison.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Knowledge base documentation system for our internal employees and engineers.
Nice interoffice collaboration wiki and document repository
What do you like best about the product?
I like the integration with many document tools like PlantUML, LucidChart, etc.
Confluence is a simple and straightforward tool which has rich features accessible when you need them.
Searching for documents based on title or other keywords is also fast and relevant.

What do you dislike about the product?
I have experienced some problems in the past while collaborating on the same page with someone else. Confluence mostly does a good job trying to merge the changes but has occasionally run into conflicts. It does not seem to offer any manual way to resolve these conflicts short of overwriting the other collaborators' edits. It would be a nicer experience if editing Confluence pages was similar to Google Docs, which makes real-time collaboration much more fluid.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The company I work for uses Confluence as wiki for design documents, specifications, and other information that is useful for sharing and collaboration between employees.
Quick look on Confluence
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to organize content within spaces and creating pages inside them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inline commenting functionality on pages is subject to some buggy behavior.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to have a central location for developers and managers to share contact concerning our technical activities.
Top of the line documentation tool
What do you like best about the product?
Generally I do not like online rich text editing, however the Wiki markup editor here is nearly flawless. Creating documentation with complex tables is excellent. If you learn the wiki markup, which is not a requirement, you can do things extremely quickly. The macros you can use allow this to be a powerful tool.
You can separate documentation by project, and create hierarchy's of pages. Direct integration with other Atlassian products is where this shines. If you also use Jira, Bitbucket or any of their other tools you can link code repositories, project management, and documentation together nearly seamlessly. For example, you can copy a link to a JIRA ticket into Confluence, and the confluence page will automatically update the ticket's status while the JIRA ticket will automatically link to the Confluence page without you having to do both.
Addons like PM road mapping and Gliffy allow you to integrate timelines, diagrams, and flowcharts with the other functionality of Confluence that independent tools never could.

What do you dislike about the product?
You often have to buy addons to make the product work for you. They have an excellent PM road mapping plugin, and an excellent flowchart/diagram tool called Gliffy that interacts with Confluence in ways that Visio, Omnigraffle, and others just can't, but they all cost extra. That extra can add up to quite a lot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Large project documentation is what we were trying to solve for. The benefits we didn't realize until we got the tool was how well the suite of tools work together.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you need a tool this robust. The real value is in the integration with other Atlassian products, so if you are not looking to replace your current project management tool, code repository, team chat etc. then you are not utilizing the full potential of the tool. You also need to assess the addon needs to determine your what will make the tool worth the price tag.
Confluence Wiki for IT Support
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is all about customization. You can make it look and feel however you want to and build almost any structure. We use it for a hierarchical wiki of technical articles, policies and how-tos.
What do you dislike about the product?
Part of the customization is that it takes a lot of organization on your end to get things set up. Because it's so flexible, your team has to be ready to create your own structure and page formatting standards, including multiple templates depending on the type of information you need to document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using confluence for documentation. We currently use it for technical articles, how-tos, and policy documentation. However, the most useful thing we use it for is documentation of our customers' environments. We run an IT support organization and standardizing the knowledge we collect and document on each customer is key to our success and bringing new techs up to speed.
Great Team Collab Software
What do you like best about the product?
Great tool for streamlining team work. Helps with productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not yet found anything that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Figuring out how to more smoothly move through our payroll process. With this software, every member of the team is able to contribute thoughts and ideas
Easy enough, anyone can use this
What do you like best about the product?
I like this product because it is really simple to understand and use. There really isn't much of an onboarding process and even a user with a very basic tech-knowledge could figure out how to make page, child pages and even use some of the add-ins like flow-charts that Confluence offers.
What do you dislike about the product?
It could serve to have additional formatting features to make the pages look more polished and professional. It would be nice to have scroll-able charts so things don't get cut off or squished. It would also be nice to do some in-line image location adjustment. Right now if you put an image in a Confluence page, it just creates a really large line if you keep the image in-line with your text. Text-wrapping, similar to Microsoft Word would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Confluence internally as a Wikipedia-esk site to house on-boarding instructions, information about client projects, and even SQL queries for quick data pulling.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Explain the hierarchy of child pages to a user before they start using Confluence. This will help to keep everything organized and easy to follow.
