Our Team's Home Base

What do you like best about the product?
I like how customized Confluence becomes to my organization; It feels like it was made especially for us. It's easy to give everyone access to view and edit pages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once pages are created, they are difficult to organize differently. In our case, there are too many pages at this point to be completely usable and it will be quite the task to clean up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication has improved amongst all areas of the company. We also have a set place to drop all of our documents, notes, schedules and policies.

Using Confluence for Organizing Blog Content

  • January 05, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to organize information across a page, across pages is stellar. The ability to add HTML elements within the page is the proper balance of knowing HTML and not needing to know HTML. When used in concert with larger teams and integrated with Jira, the tool really shines!
What do you dislike about the product?
The Style Sheet and Editor sometimes takes a bit long to load, but this is often a network issues. The requirement to go into Edit mode is sometimes annoying (I understand why this is required, but still). Inserting widgets and extras is sometimes a bit difficult to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating Templates and Repeatable processes
Collaboration with Development Team
Great for Epic and Story Creation - and Organization
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take some time to get to know the product and how to use it. The learning curve is a bit steep, but it is a short hill

The capacity to adjust the workflow and to configure the platform to organisation process.
The platform is complete and allows a good management.
Integrates with several platforms is a good feature.

The usability can be improved and more appealing.
The reporting part may be improved having more standard useful reports .
The testing part is weak - we had tried an add-in - zephyr and didn't work so well.

Nice interface, but a bit of a learning curve from Redmine

  • January 05, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Used Redmine for a number of years and recently switched to Confluence. The best aspect of it is the user interface - extremely clean and responsive, and easy to find what I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the terminology differs a lot from Redmine, and the flowchart view confuses more than clarifies in my opinion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking development for an enterprise eCommerce site. It works well for what we use it for, but we probably aren't tapping its full capabilities.

Fairly well featured information repository

  • January 05, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Has the organizational design to be a master resource when properly used and maintained. Definitely can be a go-to instruction manual, making it easier for new employee onboarding.
What do you dislike about the product?
Stale information isn't purged or marked automatically. Like all socially-constructed information repositories, it's only as good as the resources maintaining it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coming into my job, I had to quickly learn how to set up the drivers, server addresses, and relational database connections to do SQL / data mining operations. This served as a valuable help guide.
