Knowledge sharing with conflunece

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is like a huge scrapbook. If you have any idea you can put it down and share it with your team members. It makes collaboration very easy because information is available all the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really don't have any issues with confluence
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration, product documentation
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try to put structure to your documentation so its easy to find stuff and also easy to use

Knowledge Base and collaboration for teams

  • April 12, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
ease of use and consistent interface with other Atlassian products. the simplified settings page for personalization. creating a new page is so easy and intuitive. I am also impressed by the calendar feature which can be used as a planning tool and subscribed to by members of a team. It also integrates to the active directory. For technical or administrative roles, upgrading to a newer version is a breeze
What do you dislike about the product?
not sure how easy to share content with external customers. Dynamics CRM or salesforce integration will make this a perfect tool for my organization. Today, sales guys need to browse to two systems to get work done. Also, support team needs to use two different systems as well. If there is an integration out of the box, it will make them work from one system
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
collaboration, meeting notes, documentation, articles and knowledge base.
One of the business improvements I will like to achieve is for staff to reduce the number of different applications they browse to for their daily work
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence is a good tool. It is easy to solve collaboration amongst technical teams and produce knowledge base articles. Spaces can be created for different products and/ or services based on choice. The calendar feature is also good for managing team calendars and can be subscribed to. Confluence integrates to other products like Jira, ServiceDesk, Stash, HipChat out of the box for people that already invested in Atlassian products.

What do you like best about the product?
The creation of widgets and macros were the best features. It helped me customize my notes to a great extent
What do you dislike about the product?
The color combination is too close to the UI for facebook. It's a little confusing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The top problems it solved was tagging Peers without having to add them directly. All I had to do was sync my outlook contacts with confluence and jira
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do a cloud based trial run alongside other attlassian products

What do you like best about the product?
Web-based interface makes it easy to access from most any device, if needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Easy to forget to unlock a document so that others can make changes if needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Useful for collaboration and preserving documentation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
it is good for what it does.

What do you like best about the product?
Intelligent + Friendly UI
Best integration with other Atlassian tools like Jira, Hipchat
Good editors
Easy to upload images/documents
Various library of blue prints to support Scrums
Good reporting tools
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuration is a bit complicated and takes some time to configure whole things before starting but it makes sense due to its complex features
Price is a bit high for team larger than 10 people
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are doing software solutions following Scrum and Confluence is the best tools to support all phases of Scrums as well as a place to keep tracks everything (Requirement management, Sprint planning, Sprint restropective, Decision making, Meeting notes, Task reporting...)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are doing Scrum, Confluence is the must use tool for your team
If you are using Jira, Confluence is the must tool to use with

What do you like best about the product?
good integration with other services, allowed us to consolidate several services into one platform
What do you dislike about the product?
gets expensive if you have a lot of users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Digital collaboration across multiple sites and platforms
Recommendations to others considering the product:
check what features you really need. This has a lot of features, but gets expensive quickly. Standard wiki software can do much of the same thing.

Easy and Powerful Wiki on the market

  • April 10, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. Option to host privately or in a cloud
2. Powerful permissions control
3. Page and file versioning
4. High availability and reliability when hosted in the cloud
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Confluence is not as powerful wiki as a Wikipedia. If you find some great article in Wikipedia - there's a chance you cannot format page in Confluence the same way.
2. Detection of unused files and moving files between pages is a pain.
3. Extensions you need may cost more than the system itself, e.g. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.mxgraph.confluence.plugins.diagramly/server/pricing
4. Search sometimes doesn't allow to query primitive things like IP addresses
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence helped the company I work with to keep all documentation in one place. It made it searchable and available from anywhere for authenticated users.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit difficult to understand which permission as an user on a page
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use to produce the documentation to provide to our customers
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it!!
