Nice tool, good functionality, interface could be a bit less dry

What do you like best about the product?
It's real time, you can see updates made by other users. You can keep all the documentation in one place. You can invite others to watch spaces, so they get informed about every update.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is a bit dull, it could be a bit more user friendly. It has the professional look, but I think it would be much more appreciated by non-tech teams if it was a little bit 'prettier'
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using this tool for creating online user manuals for our employees and for some internal planning and communication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence if a great tool for collaboration. It's worth exploring all its features and reading a bit more about it capabilities.

Amazing for documentatio

What do you like best about the product?
It's fantastic for documentation. You can easily create a page, modify it, save, move, delete. The editor WYSIWYG is simple and clear: all the needed format buttons are there and ready to be used. Also how to organise the page is simple and intuitive. The user interface is very friendly and if it's time that you use it is , you will find it easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you don't know if the page is saved or not. A page is automatically saved at a frequent time, but sometimes it happened to me that the latest updates weren't saved at all and if they are important updates you can understand that this can be a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Shared spaces, great for documentation and collaboration!

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to create the different spaces, attach images, documents and the use of calendars.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the ability to customize the view a bit more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Spaces for teams to easy access in or out of the office, pages for function, and content management. The ability to link to other spaces, pages, really makes it simple to avoid duplicated effort.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Think beyond just what problem you are trying to solve, but the abilities it can provide to other groups within your company. Different departments, HR, Sales, Marketing could all have their own spaces.

Great Tool for Departmental Communication

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence has really helped my organization increase communication between teams/departments. We've cut down on the number of meetings because everyone on a project team can assign tasks to each other and update the scope of a project in an instance. Once the page is saved, an automatic notification will be sent to everyone on the project team with the update. Its positively changed the way we communicate internally.
What do you dislike about the product?
Better Page Tree Organization:
* Wish there was ability to hide pages from the page tree. Finding content an get messy when there are a lot of pages in use,
Better Page Editing Tools:
* The page editing tools are very basic

What do you like best about the product?
I love that you can create your own space within confluence. It's an outline for your own company website. It's a fantastic space for resources for my company.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about confluence is the restrictions on design. It's very limited to what you can and cannot edit. No fonts, not many colors, and it has a mind of its own sometimes. It can be frustrating
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Training, studying, online tools, company reference.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do it! It's a great tool for your company.

Confluence is excellent choice for colloboration

What do you like best about the product?
When I use sharepoint to create a document, if I paste the image that is lost until you explicitly add those image separately, while when you use confluence you don't need to worry about adding them separately, it is automatically created as resource.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI has scope of improvement, specially the way modern applications are being built
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More of document management system. By doing so we have single place where all the documents are available.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are still using Sharepoint, please move to Confluence. It has much better integration platform

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is easy to use.It is similar to a wiki, you can fill in all documents or import them from a word document.
What do you dislike about the product?
The export feature is not as good as expected, the import of complex documents is not trivial, you have to modify them to be readable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving the problem of internal comunication with off-shore coleagues. Confluence is also useful for maintaining the documentation updated.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This will be valuable for you if you need to share documentation on an easy way.

Like the file folder structure and grid layout.
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not link well with JIRA. The UI restricts the type of text formatting you can do. Also does not export well to Excel or Word.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needed a centralized documentation approach for business technology changes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go in with a governed and centralized approach for documenting. Make sure there is a business process in place to keep up the quality documentation. With many users adding all sorts of content in different spaces, a blank canvas like Confluence can quickly become disorganized and inundated with duplicated misinformation.
