Great system for data repository and organziation

  • May 26, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The system does a great job of cataloging data, providing a method of sorting types of data and finding a variety of documents quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a lot of users are creating pages, spaces, content etc and the naming conventions are standardized it can be overwhelming when you search. Some standardization would be helpful but also an internal training issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a simple way to build a training method and process for new hires. Before the information was distributed all over the place and on community drives.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider the benefit of consolidating a variety of documents, data and information that have typically reside in a variety of places and are hard to track down when needed.

Very good but doesn't wow me

  • May 23, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to interlink between confluence pages and Jira easily. I like the ability to 'watch' certain spaces for updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike a lot of the auto-formatting features. They make it very difficult to edit lists and to mix copy-pasted text with text written inside the confluence wysiwyg.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem we are solving with Confluence is internal communication and knowledge sharing. We benefit from the ability to watch for updates, making sure we don't miss new info.

Ease of use, tagging, uploading, keeping track of changes
What do you dislike about the product?
The design is a bit sparse, so that could use some updating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's very easy to share documents with coworkers, but I don't necessarily love the layout of the interface.

Navigation a tad clunky but great internal Wiki

  • May 22, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's a perfect way for multiple to collaborate on documents. It feels a bit like Wikipedia in that multiple people can work together on a web page describing virtually anything.
What do you dislike about the product?
Organizing pages feels a little clunky, and many of the tools and options take a bit to get used to. For example, I wanted to organize a bunch of pages into a folder, but there are no folders. Instead, you have a create a 'blank' parent page and then attache the other pages to it. It's not a huge problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration on product specifications with Engineering.
