Confluence Review: Account Manager in Tech Startup
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is a great tool that allows me to work my seamlessly with the different departments in my organization. It's a great place to store knowledge that is needed across the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much, if anything, to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization of our internal documents was a struggle but Confluence allows us to have a singular, easily editable source of documentation.
Useful Knowledgebase Tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's got great searchability and integrates with JIRA. Customizable homepages/views make for a useful efficiency tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
weekly meetings with recurring tasks can potentially end up cluttering my tasks feed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this to build and maintain our database of product knowledge and tutorials/guides, as well as tracking tasks and meetings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get to know the modules available when customizing pages and spaces.
Lots of options, not a lot of ease

I like the availability of plug-ins and the community support

Ease of use - very difficult to build from the ground up without existing spaces, etc

Central storage for project information - benefits us by providing a single location for obtaining this info

We are using confluence to share project document between a shared team, this is very helpful for us, with easy to find all the information needed

I'm very happy of the tool, right now I can not said nothing to bad

The first project that we put on confluence was the migration of our ecommerce site on aws, we are working with different team in different country and now we want to use the same tool in the other IT project

A great way to organize information to be shared with a team. We would be lost without our internal wiki!

Can be difficult to reorganize spaces easily

It's cloud based so it makes collaboration with multiple people easier

The search isn't great and the formatting is limited

Central repository for documentation, instructions, etc for our business.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Google Drive/docs can work just as well. Confluence only makes sense if you are using other Atlassian products

What do you like best about the product?
You are free to have different department pages within confluence and upload all company policy and guidelines so they are housed in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be hard to navigate and the looks of confluence are pretty bismal. There lacks a flare of design.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to create one home for all guidelines, policies, and updates. This has been very helpful in rolling out HR documents, and employee travel policies.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make it more user friendly. I have a hard time navigating the system to find the homes of departments I want to view. Writing a blog post is also not super easy to navigate around.

What do you like best about the product?
It's a central location where everyone can access files and updates.

The user interface seems a bit outdated in Confluence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Users in different departments have a single, centralized location for files and updates.

What do you like best about the product?
The page navigation and ease of finding various, nested resources and pages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Page creation tools. Easier drag and drop templates for adding images and sections could help expedite the process. On the reverse end, the ability to preview and edit pages my going into HTML code (like Wikipedia allows you to do) would help cut down on the need for edits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for knowledge transfer and reference across departments. It is beneficial to easily look through an internal repository of knowledge across a variety of projects and clientele.

Experiment with it and learn how to use it your way.
