Not very good design. Inconsistent behavior across confluence and JIRA text boxes when it comes to formatting text.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing and story internal company information including business processes, company hierarchy, projects, general information about business units.
Benefits realized include a centralized hub for all internal users, superior to a light tool like Google Docs, or any other Google Suite. The solution provides more detailed control and fuller experience.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is more web friendly than desktop friendly(it is not a single page application)

Good collaboration tool to save so much time while writing specification and easy to review and give feedback. Its versioning control system is good

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is able to handle complex information for every department in the company. It is easy to update and create pages.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the email notifications that occur automatically, but it's easy to deactivate those. Outdated info does occur frequently as there are no parameters as to when and who needs to update it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Redundancies, efficiency when sharing information, and the fact that it's hard to manage info that is relevant to an entire company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be wary of the fact that information quickly gets outdated, especially when there are hundreds of pages within the confluence site. It is a great place for company-wide info to live, though!

We use JIRA/confluence to track user stories and scrum projects. Its very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing I can think for dislike, its a great tool.

What do you like best about the product?
We use this for Jira tracking as part of our daily sprint process. We also create wiki pages to save all developer related information, server side details and flow diagrams
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence changed the existing features like creating sub tasks in a different way. Initially it is tough to identify but once you get a hold of it, its good enough
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it for JIra tracking logging hours, retrospectives. With retro's we create action items, due time on stories.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Confluence is a nice way to have all your sprint details and easy to track all the burn out hours It is a one stop place where all the details of a project can be looked into

I like that it has become our shared repository for documentation on all of our applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much that I dislike. It is a great application for what we use it for. I am certain we could use it for much more if I was more familiar with how everything is working.

Repository for application documentation, project and meeting notes, calendars.

get to use the widgets and macros. there's a lot you can do to make your forms friendly to use.

Ability to integrate with other services such as JIRA. We use confluence to record and track among our internal teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to see more formatting options or each of making a page look nice rather than basic text changes. Could be I have not found it but has always been something I wanted to do.

Sharing resources and information among internal teams. It has helped us provide information to other teams as well as our own in a central area.

What do you like best about the product?
What we like best about Confluence (Wiki) is how easy it is to add pages or link to different pages, merge, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is SO much information sometimes it can be overwhelming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When people don't know who to turn to for something specific, we search for it in the Wiki and can usually find the information we're looking for.
