Review of Confluence
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and maneuverability around the site. I also enjoy how you can tie Atlassian JIRA tickets to the actual Confluence page and vice versa. I also like how you can move certain pages from one section to another. This is very useful in being able to keep everything organized in a manner where things can be found easily. I also like the sharing aspect of the website. Making sure others receive an e-mail notification when changes are made is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
The gliphy feature to create flow diagrams could be more robust. I wish when adding Visio diagrams to pages, they would display in a more functional style. They appear to very choppy and do not always reflect the same format as in the original visio document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documenting product requirements. The template for creating product requirements is very useful. and the way you can tie JIRA tickets to Confluence pages are also useful.

Search, ability to categorize, notification settings.

This does so much, it's often hard to make your way around it. It takes awhile to learn, but once you do - it's amazing.

Centralized location for all documents and project management.

Documents writing. Architecture diagrams are easy to be described.

It"s online . Nothing offline to access.

Cannot update Excel docs too well, it is a little cumbersome.

We mostly use Confluence for documentation and pipeline delivery statuses.
We use it for storing our technical documents and it is a good platform.

It is easy to store documents and index.

Our version does not support REST API and it is causing problems for our crawling .

Great software that makes centralizing info easy
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Confluence offers so many templating options for creating spaces/pages.

I wish there were more options for creating graphs and charts in other languages.

It has helped my team have a centralized location for all the info we need to share, like certain protocols and organizational structures.

I like the ability to watch and follow issues on JIRA

I dislike the constant emails sent o my inbox whenever a change is made

Technical bugs and issues within projects
Integrates well with JIRA, but no collaborative editing

I like the fact that it is easy to embed interactive content in Confluence documents such as references to JIRA issues, JIRA filtered reports and status labels.
I also found it useful to structure documents in a hierarchical tree as it makes it easy for other people to find documents.

What do you dislike about the product?
There are no collaborative editing and in-line commenting features which meant that we gradually switched over to Google Suite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing product requirements, roadmap, design files, engineering documentation.
Great centralized information hub
What do you like best about the product?
it's a great way to quickly use a few keywords to pull up information about a wide variety of topics within the organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes be difficult to navigate between pages because of a lack of maintenance on the used side. In other words, some information is outdated
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many of the teams are able to utilize the tool for up to date contract processes, helping to keep all work consistent.
