Collaboration Your Way

  • November 06, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to design our own templates to carry over multiple times. I can create one template for product requirements and then every time I have new prod requirements, I can just copy the template and fill in the new details.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't link dynamic values between pages. I can link two pages, but can't populate a value from one to another (i.e. project budget). I have to type that in twice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration with my team

Automatic save functionality. Good JIRA integration. Possibility to organize and re-organize pages in a tree structure.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automatic notifications when somebody makes even minor changes to some of the documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All relevant information available in one place well organized.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The integration to Jira is good for keeping up with the big picture of the project tickets. If you are already using Jira this is a good option to consider.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease-of-use the system is very simple to use and understand once you know how to navigate a little bit
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the learning curve and that at least at my company they like to call it three or four different names but it all refers to the same thing confluence
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Who use it for team collaboration and for your information so it's pretty awesome

Great Wiki to integrate with JIRA

  • November 01, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence integrates very well with JIRA and our projects. We keep confluence as the central repository for all our processes and are able to break up projects into separate spaces with their own permissions.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not very intuitive and can take a little time for new users to get up to speed. Integrations are not well supported and many are paid. I wish it supported more built-in text renderers, like markup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This brought all our information and processes into one place in a sane way and integrates with our JIRA projects.

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence offers many things under one roof life everything required for Software development lifecycle. The project management, knowledge sharing platform, review platform, individual activity tracking or project or team activity as well. All at one place. The best part is that it is modulated like you can choose every feature to enable or disable and adjust pricing accordingly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing model is a bit more for short headcount package. If you want to add some custom add-on in their platform. It is hard and not well documented.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project/Team management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look for all features offered by Confluence and what you already have and will be useful for you in long run. Confluence has many new features like integrated ticket platform with project management tool which can really boost managers efforts.

One of the best tools for cataloging requirements

  • October 31, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence works great in an Agile environment. Its a great place to share the user stories. Teams can create function specific pages and spaces with various access rights to the team members.
Its a great tool for a Business analyst as they can put down the requirements on the pages corresponding to the function and all team members can comment on those if required.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its integration with outlook emails will be a great plus point which is currently unavailable. Because of this, many team members who work on VPN, or are outside network are not visible on Confluence or cannot be given access.
Also, the sync and integration with Jira could be made more streamlined. Sometimes the members
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We worked in Collating the requirements and user stories with Confluence as the teams were geographically very spread out. This helps in bringing everyone on the same page much faster than conference calls and helps in better understanding.

What do you dislike about the product?
The general design and format is slightly outdated and can be brought to 2017 but not a huge con.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is used as a collaborative tool to keep track of documents and manuals. it makes cross team co-ordination easy and is simple to use.

Confluence through the cloud is a slow, painful experience.

  • October 31, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to organize the various sections and use it as a wiki is great. I like being able to easily link tasks and confluence pages. Seems to be able to handle just about any size attachments without too much trouble.
What do you dislike about the product?
Response times (between click and anything actually happening) is terrible to the point of being unusable. When we were initially testing it out to use with our company, sometimes the lag time between clicking and going to a different page was upwards of a minute. Completely unacceptable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None. We decided not to use it and went with a different 3rd party software.
