Seamless Integration with Jira and Proven Collaboration Results

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is an extremely easy-to-use Wiki-style collaboration tool that integrates seamlessly with Jira. Most of our daily Jira users end up accessing Confluence on a regular basis as a way of continuing collaboration beyond the specific work items in Jira. My organization enjoys the flexibility that Confluence offers, in terms of radiating out metrics, inviting people to collaborate on specific topics or themes, or relaying key information to others. The ability to immediately connect Jira work items with Confluence pages, or to take objects from a Confluence page and turn them into Jira work items means that the two tools coexist almost without effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest drawbacks to Confluence are the requirement for a viewer to be an Atlassian license holder (limiting the scope of basic "view" rights to those with expensive licenses assigned) and the need for sometimes costly add-on applications in order to get some of the best features and functions out of the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem that Confluence solves for our organization is the coming-together of development (IT) teams and business (end-user) teams, to collaborate on the outcomes of specific requests or needs. Confluence provides a space to document IT changes and requirements while also making notes regarding end-user experiences and how to test new functionality.

Effortless Organization and Integration, Minor Formatting Hiccups

  • October 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy it is to create and organize pages in confluence. My team uses it for meeting notes, project plans, documentation and everything stays neatly arranged in one place. The editor feels simple to use, even for people who aren't very technical. I also like how it connects smoothly with Jira which helps us link tasks and updates directly to our confluence pages. The search works really well too, I can quickly find old documents or notes without wasting time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It often takes a few extra steps to format pages the way I want, especially when adding tables or images, but get things done. It can also feel a little slow or lags when loading large pages with lots of content. I think a few small design improvements could make it faster and simpler which will also improve user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence helps my team keep all our information and project related documents in one shared space. We don't have to look through endless chats or files anymore because everything is documented properly. It’s also really helpful for onboarding new teammates as they can just read through the pages and understand how things work. It’s made our workflow more organized, simple and also reduced a lot of back and forth communication.

Consider this before you implement confluence

  • October 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like its power as a centralized knowledge hub, which completely eliminates having separated information for your company. What I consider the most significant advantage is the seamless, deep integration with Jira, allowing teams to instantly link live issues, defects, development tasks, etc to comprehensive product and company documentation, and project plans. All of that, combined with a clear Space and Page hierarchy and real-time collaborative editing, makes it the definitive single source of truth for organizational knowledge and project context.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike its scalability and technical overhead. Sometimes, performance and loading time can become really slow when pages have lots of content, numerous attachments, or heavy macros, making editing a real challenge. From my experience, non-experienced users are the ones that suffer the most, especially with its extensive features and the initial challenge of navigating complex Space permissions and organizational structures. Finally, some people in the company have been struggling with the search function, as not all tickets are displayed before pressing the enter key, which may confuse them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence has worked for the company as a single source of truth, which means a place where we can find all the necessary documentation for any of the projects or the company itself (good practices, policies, manuals, how-tos, some technical documentation, etc.), and we can keep adding important information related for future references. This benefits our people by reducing the time spent searching for project/company context and ensures everyone is working from the latest, most accurate data. Also, its seamless integration with Jira further enhances this by connecting documentation directly to execution, driving better project alignment and faster decision-making.
