Great platform for documentations
What do you like best about the product?
Confluence is one of the best platforms to have a centralized location for all your documents and resources. It's a great platform to use to share documents and documents across organizations. It also has a suite of integrations to work with other third party platforms and make a work experience more seamless. I like that it has a clean user interface design and has simple features that can be understood with some research.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say I like that the platform is a bit old-fashioned in design and not necessarily the most intuitive to navigate or create new pages. I wish that there were more seamless integrations between it and other platforms (like being able to edit Google files using it, maybe).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were looking for a platform to centralize our documents and public tools to share resources with other teams. We use Confluence to store all of our training documents, meeting notes sorted by project, and other FAQ resources. We've realized the benefits of sharing documents with other teams outside our department, and not needing to worry about sharing privileges was helpful and time-conscious for us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the Confluence support pages and community forums for ideas on how to make your Confluence page better, or learn new features that you may not have known.
Great application for PRDs and documentation
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using it for creating my Product Requirement Documents and creating a single source of truth for our organisation. Its really proven to be helful. Also, the creation and editing process is very very flexible process. Collaboration is very practical and sharing the document with the team is very good. Also the user interface and experience is very familiar to our team because its very close to Jira Management Software. I think in coming future its going to be one of the most loved wiki developer and editor.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the issue with confluence is the reusability. A user cannot just add the same text again and again. Everytime you have to write the wiki document again. I think this is just ding extra work in some cases. For me sometimes I get very irritated becasue of this. But apart from this rest is vey good and after a few improvements I think I will be using it everytime.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to create Product Requirement Documents and create wiki for engineering and design teams. Cofluence act as a single source of truth and anyone who wants to know about the product or any other wiki can just open cofluence and get the idea of whats going on in the current stage of Software Development Life Cycle.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just go for it. Its great and simple.
Favorite tool for writing and organizing documentation
What do you like best about the product?
Long ago, I began using a Wiki to record interesting, novel, and useful approaches to solving problems. I decided I had spent too much time "re-finding" a solution that I had discovered months ago and needed again today.
I built a wiki, and promised myself that I'd take just five minutes and record a few notes each time I found a novel or useful technique. Over the years, that simple discipline has saved me DAYS of time.
That old Perl-based wiki is long gone. But the information lives on in Confluence. It is VERY simple to create pages, hierarchies, tag those pages, and share them. My most-used feature, though, is search. If I need to find something I wrote months (or years) ago, I need only to type a vague recollection of that information, and Confluence search takes me there.

What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence lacks a spelling checker. Instead, it relies on browser-based spelling checkers, which are not always up to the task.

Confluence is an amazing organizational platform for my team
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Confluence provides change tracking for any document stored on it. I also like that it is very intuitive and easy to use. Making categories and folders containing several different forms is highly beneficial. I also like how simple it is to insert different media types into documents such as images, tables, and highly formatted text. It is also convenient that it is integrated with Jira so that my team can link tickets and tag other Confluence users within documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not anything in particular that I dislike about Confluence; however, there could be better options to integrate it with different software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find that Confluence does not have any overarching problems that influence my workflow in a negative way. I have, however, been able to utilize Confluence to document various bugs and feature details regarding the products my team works on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend any project team or committee to utilize Confluence, as it is a convenient way to document anything you might need to. It is wonderful if you integrate it alongside Jira, as they seem to be companion software platforms. Confluence also provides a great way to document notes taken during Sprint Planning meetings and team retrospectives. You can tag team members in each weekly document so they can view any notes taken during the meeting. Permissions are also available so only certain members can make changes to any particular document or set of documents.
Solid wiki tool that promotes collaboration across multiple teams
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Confluence allows me and my team to work on a number of different projects in an organized environment. It's easy to see changes made to different documents and there are many built-in tools that produce a visually pleasing result.
What do you dislike about the product?
Confluence can sometimes be tricky to navigate with larger projects. While it is a wiki tool, sometimes it's not always easy to jump between different sections of a page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Confluence helps my team have a set of standards that we can reference on a daily basis. These standards are easy to update so the information never becomes stale. Additionally, it integrates with a few other tools and allows my team to share information easily with other teams.

Our team has a shared, secured space to create and store documentation. This is especially helpful for the UCD team who gathers lots of data and notes from user research sessions that needs a safe and accessible space for the entire team, beyond the UCD team.
