Awesome Cameras, Awesome Stystem
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to track who our members are the come into our lobby. The facial recognition is key to us understanding our lobby flow and how we can make updates for a better member experience
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to really disklike. We are finding more options and tools that the system has as we continue to utilize it more and more. We just wish we had time to enable it all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We always wanted to find a simple way to gauge who visits our lobby/branch. This tool allows us to put a face with a name as soon as a member walks through the door, allowing us to great them.
Easy to operate and setup alerts
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of setting up alerts within the main dashboard - this provides a simple email notification if anything is triggered! The ability to integrate with an access control system makes it a perfect tool for office security management.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard and interface are a little messy (busy) - this detracts from the simple features that provide the greatest value. Additionally, the setup could be easier for non-technical team members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simple CCTV / security monitoring activities for entrances and visitor monitoring during out of hours - this makes it easier to secure premises with peace of mind.
Great Cameras and System for a small business price
What do you like best about the product?
I like how the cameras are a self-contained NVR. The cameras communicate directly to the cloud; and there is no need for a device in house that needs to be maintained. Plug in the POE and the camera system is ready to go. All changes can be done from the web browser and no hard drives to fail.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only downside is the upfront cost of the camera, but with the quality of the device and the fact you do not need to keep replacing the DVR it is worth the investment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Rhombus systems to provide CCTV at our business. We had a NVR but after the dust got into the system and the hard drive only keeps a few days of data, we can now just upload to the cloud and no need for multiple wires to a NVR

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of the Rhombus system is no DVR needed. The facial recognition is a very close second. Talk about shortening the time for video search!
What do you dislike about the product?
The limited storage is a bummer. I am used to getting 60 days or more for storage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in residential housing and I got to tell you Amazon must love me now because after I retrieved a few accidentally picked up packages from the mail area there have been no more stolen packages.
State-of-the-art cameras and accompanying software system
What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to desktop user interface and mobile app.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. Customer support (Renin, Eric & Paul) has been great! Keep hiring passionate and supportive staff.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security, peace of mind for homeowners in our condo building, capturing license plates of vehicle thieves, motion detection, facial recognition.
Great company. Great vision. Well priced product. Worth comparison to Verkada or Meraki.
What do you like best about the product?
Rhombus is low pressure, not like Verkada. Their product in our demonstration performed better than Verkada for image quality, and their development team was more responsive to change, adding features we requested quickly.
Security was put first at Rhombus, and well designed. Rhombus is willing and able to integrate with other products.
Camara streaming is very fast and reliable. The customer is easily able to make image adjustments.
All the staff seem to be genuinely nice people that want to win the business solely on the competence of the product, which is a lot more than we can say about some competitors.

What do you dislike about the product?
Rhombus may lack the long-term financial stability or power to expand into new markets that competitors may have. Verkada has expanded into Access Control and Alarm Systems and sensors. Meraki has a full lineup of network equipment. While Rhombus is more focused on integrating with 3rd party companies, which may result in a less cohesive management experience (alarms in one system, cameras in another, access control in another, separate passwords for each, etc).
While Rhombus did develop some features we requested, their UI, while functional, lacks some design aesthetics. Pricing for Rhombus ended up coming in higher than we expected, and some features didn't work as well as we had hoped - person identification loads slowly.
The mobile app is a few generations behind where Verkada is currently.
The biggest problem is, where will Rhombus be in 5 years, and where will Verakda be in 5 years?

Decentralized (no NVR) anywhere accessible cloud video surveillance, stored on the local device without hammering your internet connection.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Determine your needs and lifecycle costs for any camera system—factor in any existing security systems and any required integrations.
Check out Verkada and Meraki as very similar business model competitors.
Determine if more consumer-focused video cameras (Nest, Ring, etc) or a more traditional NVR based system may accomplish your goals for a lower cost.
Do a demo with Rhombus. Their product is solid and worth considering, and it might be an excellent fit for you. Watch for an acquisition - I feel like Rhombus is ripe to be bought, just because they have a great product that would fit nicely into a competitor's surveillance/network company portfolio. Honestly, Meraki should have thrown away their MV team and bought Rhombus. I think with enough resources, Rhombus could really shine.

System is easy to use from an Operator standpoint, satisfies all of our business needs, and the support from the entire team at Rhombus has been A+

I'm not sure there is anything I would change about our business relationship with the team or the product at Rhombus

Mobile friendly allows management and executives to easily review necessary items from an off-site location. Reduces liability and improves overall efficiency of our business
Phenomenal Cameras
What do you like best about the product?
Technical support, reliability, UX/UI, price, functionality. The tech support is great solving issues and building features to solve problems as needed. Rhombus rarely breaks and is easy to set up. The user experience is phenomenal. The price is the most affordable we’ve seen. And it has all the bells and whistles we could ask for.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike very little. It needs to be connected to the internet- occasionally a nuisance getting connected. The caveat on that is that it can go offline and stay recording for some period.

We have built a technical platform on top of Rhombus. A very scalable solution. It’s like AWS for cameras. We have been able to build technology on top of their technology easily to create very valuable solutions with a reliable and easily maintained system.

Rhombus Systems - Where your Enterprise Security Camera System should be.
What do you like best about the product?
From my initial introduction call, sales process, installation, quality of equipment, and end-user support, Rhombus Systems customer care is the best I have experienced. My Account Executive, Emily Venable, as well as the rest of the RS team always go above an beyond to make sure that I am a satisfied customer. The Rhombus Console is easy to learn and easy to use. I can access my systems even when I am on the road using my phone. Set your own alerts, roles, permissions, maps/floorplans, facial/license plate recognition, and policies. Nothing could be simpler. I highly recommend Rhombus Systems if you are looking to change over from your old/antiquated NVR system. You won't be disappointed.

My boss said I have to wait for my current NVRs to fail before I can switch to Rhombus Systems. :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy access to all my location's cameras, faster installs, higher quality video, quick capture and sharing of video clips with Managers and Law Enforcement (What used to take hours, now takes minutes).
Biggest Benefit: Time
- Installation: I can view the camera I just installed on my phone and make adjustments without having to climb down a ladder, go to the NVR, go back up the ladder, repeat as needed.

Lot’s of features, high value, complete system
What do you like best about the product?
Not having to deal with an NVR for storage. Cameras and service are feature packed.

The lack of a budget priced camera and camera accessories (skins)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Complete turn-key system for any size or type project. Faster quoting and installation due to not having to factor in NVR storage and installation.
