A great intranet to foster our company culture
What do you like best about the product?
The Simpplr intranet, internally branded VitalConnect, immediately established itself as our virtual watercooler. Employees are trained to log in and enjoy the site with their morning cup of coffee. It’s where we announce new sales, call out employee wins, celebrate anniversaries, and broadcast critical company-wide announcements. Employees noted a stronger sense of community and understand how their contribution fits into the bigger picture.
I like that we’ve been able to distribute the intranet’s maintenance by spreading site ownership across departments. This has helped improve the company’s interdepartmental transparency. We also administer mandatory HIPAA training and updates through Simpplr. Additionally, our CEO stays connected to the growing employee base with his own site. He’s able to share his perspective on the market, congratulate teams on their hard work, and give employees insights about how he’s spending his time.
VitalConnect also offers employees a popular “non-work related” site, the VitalWare Playground, where users can engage and connect through activities such as sharing recipes, posting family photos, and even running fantasy football pools. It’s a great way to humanize the work experience and help co-workers bond across geographic and departmental boundaries. VitalConnect is among VitalWare’s most successful and critically used software deployments. More than 85 percent of employees use the site at least weekly.

What do you dislike about the product?
There really isn't anything that we dislike about Simpplr. However, it does seem that when they are developing updates, they seem to be most compatible with Window's 10 , and the majority of our employees are still on Windows 7.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote employees have noted, unsolicited, that Simpplr actually makes them feel as if they’re in the office. And the intranet has nearly eliminated company-wide emails.
It has also greatly helped with the onboarding process by giving new employees a starting place to ramp up and connect with others across the organization. We actually made posting a profile picture mandatory because it has helped employees get better acquainted.
Net-net: VitalWare’s employee attrition is far below industry averages. Employee engagement scores are high. And VitalWare’s Glassdoor ratings are above 4 out of 5. While this is not fully attributable to one software platform, the technology plays an extremely important role in our cultural engagement strategy.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Simpplr is a great way for you to engage your employees, especially if you have a workforce that includes remote workers!
Hub 2.0 with Simpplr
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to navigate and very user friendly. Everything you need in one space. It also shows what events are upcoming and any holidays that Pure may have. Pure also uploads all the company's all hands meeting and any videoed meeting/chats to the site for others who may not have been able to join to viet.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I've encountered to dislike what Simpplr has done for Pure's Hub 2.0.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Hub was created for Pure employees to interact with other employees and to gather information on the company/work easier. Everything in one spot.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I believe Simpplr is making work life easier for the company by allowing it's employees to be interactive and in the know with what's going on with the company. Any documents that an employee would need can be added onto the site.
A great social intranet for the enterprise
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share, disseminate, and collaborate around information for the entire enterprise. The ability to have distinct interest groups and have employees collaborate and share information. Someone non-technical can setup an entire communications portal in as short as a few hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adoption. As great as Simpplr is, it takes a bit of effort in gaining adoption. However, that is not the fault of the product. People are used to what they're used to. It hard to leave email behind!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Employee communication. Social collaboration amongst groups. Social intranet.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product to consider if you have Salesforce, and all of your users are on Salesforce.
Thoughts on Simpplr
What do you like best about the product?
The engagement with customers is definitely a winning strategy. As a customer it is important to feel like you have a voice when it comes to the product, and the Simpplr team definitely is receptive to feedback. This is evident by the long list of release notes with each new release.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't pinpoint it, but the look and feel definitely has a legacy feel to it. It doesn't seem as modern as most applications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication. As a rapidly growing company, its important for new and existing employees to be aware of processes and policies. We leverage Simpplr to help distribute that information via integration with Box.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Simpplr is really easy to use as a user, and as an admin. If you're looking to adopt an effective intranet solution, Simpplr can accommodate rather quickly.
Easy to use & implement
What do you like best about the product?
Simpplr is an easy tool to start using for any Organization. We went from zero to full implementation in one month. If you already use Salesforce, it is very easy to support and learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
Due to the fact that it is so easy to use, it isn't as customizable as other Intranet options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to consolidate our on-boarding processes and create a single place to hold all of our important policies.
Company Only Social network
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, social network for employees. Intuitive to use and accessible by all employees. It makes employee communication easy, having a single landing page with a chronological feed. It allows posts to be highlighted at top so can't miss important posts. Has the ability to reply and "Like" comments allowing for engagement across all employees. Has Portals so employer can provide easy and accessible landing pages to access documents. Sends weekly round up emails to highlight the weeks posts and allows all employees to stay informed. Has the option to follow employees so you can stay connected with those that you are most interested in. Easy to connect with colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
It requires buy in from the employees. Not everyone consistently checks or posts to it. This tool requires full engagement from employees. It results in only a select few employees consistently using. Need to find ways to encourage more interaction. The line between social and work is blurred with this tool. Not always sure what content is appropriate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A single communication hub for all non urgent news. No longer does the company have to blast office wide employees about every announcement. This allows not as urgent announcements to be seen across the company, and Likes and Comments allow for easy engagement by all employees.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great, initiative to use social network for employees. A single landing page allows for easy and intuitive communication across all employees.
