Great software for translation projects, but interface could be improved

  • April 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The amount of features it offers, enabling to execute and plan everything from the platform, from comments to rates/costs calculations
What do you dislike about the product?
Especially for new users, it's difficult to find the features one is looking for. Also, the demo offered is not enough as an onboarding to Crowdin.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to share the projects that need localization, as well as implement them automatically into the CMS.

Reliable, multilingual-ready, and enhanced with solid AI translation support

  • April 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin makes it very easy to manage localization at scale, especially for teams working across many languages, we use it with over 20. Its interface is intuitive, the branching support fits well with agile workflows, and integrations with GitHub and CI tools help us keep translations up-to-date automatically. The AI-powered translation suggestions are a great addition — LLMs often outperform traditional machine translation significantly.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Crowdin is powerful, the pricing model can become a bit expensive for smaller teams or open source projects. Also, some features like translation memory management could be more user-friendly or better documented for non-technical users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin streamlines our localization across 20+ languages, saving time and reducing errors. The AI suggestions are often more accurate than traditional MT, which helps us ship quality content faster.

Simple to use UI, with little problems

  • April 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The platform has been incredibly easy for me and my open source contributors to use. Due to the extensive examples, I was able to enable auto-syncing with my GitHub repo easily and changes that my translators make can go directly back to my repo with ease. The customer support is great and the only time I have had to contact them was a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI features are not too helpful for translating, as AI is primarily trained on English and as such it was not good for translating. You could experience some issues with OAuth2 and then changing the email on your OAuth provider, but nothing that can't be solved with contacting support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily being able to select multiple different translations and the best one being automatically synced back to my GitHub repo.

Powerful localization management tool

  • April 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin is an intuitive, powerful localization tool. It allows centralizing the software localization process in a single place by managing different roles (manager, translator, developer). The QA-check tool as well as the Pre-Translate options are incredibly useful to improve quality and consistency in translations. The different settings options allow tailoring the experience to our needs while keeping the process simple. Crowdin has also provided continuous support by chat for any questions on the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
As suggestions for improvement, enabling the "Copy source to target" option as a mass action would be very useful (similarly to "Approve translation" option), for the cases in which this action must be performed in several strings. I also suggest incorporating the possibility to add screenshots in Discussions, which is needed when debating certain terminology decisions that involve software texts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have not encountered problems in Crowdin.

Great tool for software and marketing localisation with just specific integration limitations

  • April 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin has a really easy-to-use UX and it can be implemented seemliness after the corresponding security clearance. Glossary and TMs can easily be assigned and updated, and there's a wide range of integrations to leverage with the tool.
It's a very intuitive platform with a lot of potential, perfect for everyday use for linguists, vendors, localization and content managers, and Engineering teams.
Support is great with basic UX issues, and provides good advice and workarounds when in need.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's proven to have limitations with certain integrations such as Contentful for content synchronization and quote calculation capabilities when dealing with a high amount of copy.
The Support team can be a bit slow with more technical issues that need immediate attention the more the size of the copy -and hence the challenges- grows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin is helping us localize our products on a daily basis. We are handling copy for plenty of different projects that need to be worked on quickly in an organised manner, and Crowdin is helping us do that. It helps us structure teams easily and be able to come back to them when issues arise.

A blessing for structured translation management, but with a bit of a learning curve

  • April 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin gives us clear management and overview of all translation projects, saving time and reducing errors. The AI-powered pre-translations speed up our workflows significantly. We also love the versatility — Crowdin integrates smoothly into different parts of our development and content pipelines. Highly recommended for teams looking for a flexible and efficient localization platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Crowdin has a bit of a learning curve, and a permissions model that is relying on one individuals account which is getting in the way of sharing responsibilities among the teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our product contains of very industry specific language, and is changed often. With many stakeholders in multiple countries, Crowdin is allowing us to manage localization between all these different stakeholders, and keep one single source of truth for our translations. Regardless of which product or end goal they are used for. It has relieved a lot of headaches, back and forth, and translation management issues.

Great experience in using Crowdin

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Makes the translation process pretty straightforward. Best is text selection from images. . Providing context has never been easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI appears complicated for first-time users. If it can be made more intuitive, that would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't need to go through a really long translation process.

Best translating tool to use with next-intl

  • April 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the ability to manage all my translations in one place. The translation editor is user-friendly, and I like how it uses AI to suggest translations. For simple texts, I usually rely on CrowdIn’s suggestions, which saves me a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Whenever I want to switch between the editor and the dashboard, the page reloads, and it takes a while to load to the editor or dashboard. I frequently switch between projects and languages, and this waiting time is time-consuming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hiring a translator is expensive, but computer-assisted translation using AI or large language models can be cost-effective and time-saving.
