Startup Support
What do you like best about the product?
Colossal support that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, everything works perfectly fine!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin helps young startups like us to move towards their goals and expand the boundaries of localization without further support.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would like to say a huge thank you to all the guys from the Crowdin team!

Most friendly UI/UX and easy to understand things without help docs.
What do you like best about the product?
I don't know why Crowdin has such a low score and little reviews in G2 when compare with others.
Our company is new to localization world, I've trial with a lot platforms includes Crowdin, Phrase, Transifex, Lokalise and even open sourced Weblate, Crowdin is the ONLY one makes me feel comfortable on UI/UX, all others have a lot low UI/UX designing except Lokalise, but Lokalise use tooooo many icons and small buttons to hide their functions, that makes me feel bad.
The MOST important thing for a translator (the core of localization) i think is FOCUS. Crowdin's editor makes sure they will focus on "translations" not UI/UX. But others make me feel so noise when I look at their UI.
I wanna vote 10/10 stars to Crowdin's clear and focusable UI/UX, and BTW they have 24/7 support makes me feel good.
As for Smartling... they have no free trial for me, i still waiting for their demo, so if smartling has more clear UI/UX than Crowdin, I guess i will change my word later.

What do you dislike about the product?
Crowdin can not integrates with our self-hosted GitLab server automatically in UI, their support said we must write our own script to use their CLI to integrate, I feel bad on this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to setup, easy to train my team. Easy to use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I don't know what to advise, I just feel that Crowdin is the most user friendly product in this area after my 3 days evaluation of all other things. Except Smartling, they have no free trial and still wait for their demos.
Easy to use tool for crowd translation of our game with a lot nice features
What do you like best about the product?
Good UX / UI , friendly and fast support
What do you dislike about the product?
The standard plans are a little strict .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a online game which should be easy to play for all players around the world and so need translations, so everyone can play it in their native language. Unfortunately we don't have a high budget as we are an indie developer, so we translate the game together with our awesome community. Therefore we needed a tool where we have enough control and our community can easily dive in to help us localize. With CrowdIn we already have 8 different languages and more are coming.
Poor support and billing process
What do you like best about the product?
CrowdIn is respectable for what it does. Lots of language options and the ability to manage per-language permissions for translating users is great. Separating between submitted and approved translations is also useful. Their API is strong.
What do you dislike about the product?
CrowdIn has no account recovery for situations where a billing account might be attached to a former employee of your company. Was told this is because of their privacy policy, which I find hard to believe since this is a common scenario for most enterprise software companies.
We've been struggling to find a solution with CrowdIn's support team for over a month now and unfortunately don't seem any closer to finding a resolution. They are literally making it difficult to give them money and renew our subscription, which is both confusing and frustrating. CrowdIn's poor account management has eroded our trust in the reliability of their services.
An actual feature improvement that would be helpful is aggregate-level reporting for the translation status of languages across all projects.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Localization for multiple websites and two mobile app platforms (android + iOS).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'm sure their competitors must have better account management.
Marvellous customer service for an excellent translation ading program
What do you like best about the product?
The possibility to translate "In context", meaning from inside of our deployed application with immediate update of both, the interface and the translation database. Then the service. The undo feature. The version handling. The atomic handling of translators, proof readers and approval mechanism.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few functions and features are a bit tricky (but find their easy and quick solution with the help of the excellent on line tutorials and fast email or meeting requests - almost 24/24.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Translating and storing of various versions of software was a problem before. Now it's easy. Once a string is translated it is automatically stored as a permanent dictionary and even if the id of the string changes or the same string is reused more than once in our applications with different id's, it can be translated automatically. The online translation "In context" is extreemely powerful, especially when translating with a team because everyone sees the change immediately and avoids to work where someone else has translated already. All this saves a tremendous amount of time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evaluate or start with a small plan. It can easy be upgraded as needed.
Great CAT-tool, I'd say the best cloud CAT tool I've used
What do you like best about the product?
First of all, I'd like to underline the UX of the platform. It's extremely comfortable to use it, it's easy to explore it at the initial stage of usage, it's beautiful and doesn't hurt my eyes with lots of unnecessary blocks and so on. No need to accustom oneself to work with it, everything is intuitive.
The second is the integrations. With Crowdin APIs you can easily connect the platform to your project wherever it is, and import/export the texts directly into your code.
The third is the best support team I've ever met. Honestly speaking the Crowdin way of support management, the way they talk to you, their collaborativeness should become a standard everywhere. These guys relly care about you and your project success and ready to help any time with any issues you face.

What do you dislike about the product?
That would be great if I could change the source project language.
I mean, if I have a project where the source is in Russian, but my Chinese translator doesn't speak Russian, I want to have the possibility to choose my English translation as a source for my Chinese. I hope you get the idea.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Localization integration, usability, easy management, your projects are available everywhere is you have at least a smartphone.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
=//=
Good platform, with some glitches
What do you like best about the product?
Breaks down translations into segments, minimizing the chance of omission. Incorporates translation memory.
What do you dislike about the product?
Translation segments sometimes jump around, increasing the chance of omissions. Non-intuitive keyboard shortcuts. Not easy to edit own saved translation memory segments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin streamlines the work process, making it much easier to collaborate on translation projects, without the need for standalone desktop software.
Great customer service with software string translation.
What do you like best about the product?
It is a great software that enables translators to translate anything according to their requirement,.You can localize your website and also translate it into many languages you want.. Thus makes your website globally understandable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I lacks the option for filtering the strings which makes it a bit hard to manage. Apart from it, It is a great software with excellent features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You can limit your website according to your requirement and you can also make as many languages transfers as you want. So it attracts more clients all over the world and make your work better.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is very easy to use thus time saving with attractive features. Compatible for both iOS and android which makes it useful for all. The translation facility has allowed the non-English comapny as well.
Easy to use translation platform
What do you like best about the product?
It's my solution for seamless localization of mobile, web and desktop apps, games and much more. Crowdin saves me a lot of time on getting my jobs done.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really enjoy this software. The only problem is you can only translate 1 language at a time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heps on letting me branch out with out language being an issue.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Super easy to navigate and something everyone should use to not let language stop you from reaching your goals and business goals.
invaluable for translations
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful and simplifies translation of mobile as well as web apps that we are developing. Also allows you to synchronize source texts and translations between our localization project and our knowledge base... invaluable
What do you dislike about the product?
While pricey the capablities far out weigh any price concerns.
