  • March 24, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Workflow management: its in the cloud. Allows creation of different workflows for different types of content on the site, support for human translation or machine translation or machine translation with post-edit (very flexible).
- Fully automated github integration with version branches.
- Integration with all the popular machine translation backends.
- Allows unlimited collaborators. Collaborators don't need to install any tools.
- Price does not depend on the number of languages to which the content is being translated.
- Easy onboarding initially: it supported multiple formats to import the existing translations.
- Very responsive and knowledgeable support team. It seems to respond within minutes 24/7.
- UI is very friendly / easy to use.
- Allows one to see and edit the translation memory.
- Import performance was better than other similar software (we have a lot of content)
- Allows in-context translation.
- Allows export of only the translated strings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost, particularly for a content-heavy site
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps manage localization of our website content.
Our website has a lot of content of various types. We have different needs and workflows for different types of content. It allows us to manage that. API integration has allowed us to automate this process making it fairly seamless.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
— Robust API that allows access to the most of Crowdin's functionality.
— Reliability: We've been using Crowdin for over 6 years and outages so far have been extremely rare.
— Customer support is fast to respond and actually gets problems solved.
— Lots of integration with third-party services and tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
— Minor design and UX flaws in translator/proofreader UI.
— Project access right could've been more flexible.
— No simple way to hide strings for languages that do not require translation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real-time delivery of translated content through API.

Most complex translation platform we've been using for 9 years already

  • January 13, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- rich features
- large global translation memory
- great tools for effectively managing tens of translators at once
- excellent screenshot tools for describing the context of strings
- well-arranged UI
- API access
What do you dislike about the product?
- a little bit complicated at a first sight, but you get used to it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our Android app BIG Launcher targets senior users, thus the localization is really important to us. To manage hundreds of freelance translators across 50 different languages during the 9 years period of the existence of our app is an easy job - thanks to Crowdin. We've been one of the first Crowdin customers and we are really amazed by the number of features they keep adding to make the management of the translations as smooth as possible. The platform is pretty solid, everything is working great with no downtimes.

Variety of features and best support

  • December 24, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. The interface is convenient for us.
2. I can grant access to specific languages to the selected persons even without creating my own team and assigning access rights and roles.
3. Machine translation integration is easy.
4. Translation memory is also available.
5. There a lot of features that we do not use at the moment but probably will use in the future.
6. Wide choice of integrations with third-party services.
7. Last but not least: very responsive support. We get responses for all requests within 5-10 minutes and it seems to me they work 24x7. That's amazing.
8. Awesome feature to upload screenshots and annotate them automatically with text recognition or manually if needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
In general, I would suggest more flexible pricing because there are a lot of features and in some cases we do not need some features but need another. I should admit that in all cases when we experience such a situation the support found for us appropriate solution on an individual basis.
Maybe text segmentation could be easier when you need to translate long text files. At the same time I know that there is an advanced tool to create segmentation rules available at Crowdin but probably I am too lazy to use it (
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Crowdin to translate Android applications into multiple languages.
It is easy to upload files for translations, update files, view translation history and download the translation.
As I have mentioned before - screenshot uploading and annotating make it easier for translators to understand the context of each string.

Exceptional customer support & powerful integrations

  • December 05, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I definitely like how many different integrations are offered by Crowdin ready to use. Their translation memory provides translators with already approved translations from previous projects - which means, over time it gets easier and way faster. The editor has easy to use functions - most of our translators can work with it without training at all!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the invitations to our projects are not seen. I would love to get a reminder, if users do not join in a specific time frame.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is way easier to show people what you exactly need. Especially if you need specific formatting or tags embedded into your translations. Translators just click on them and move them to the correct position.

You can provide context with screenshots of actual products, or just an export of your screen design.

You do not have to send the request manually via email - you just create a task, assign translators and notify them.

You know what has been translated without looking into your local folders, Excel, Google Spreadsheet, or whatever you use to track progress.

Its interface turns out to be quite simple and easy to handle

  • December 04, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its interface turns out to be something quite simple and easy to use, the fact that it allows me to translate a great variety of games, software and other applications in a very fast and simple way, the fact that it allows me to delve into unknown words to In a quite simple and practical way, through the context of the word, it turns out to be a very useful tool, especially to learn new words in a much simpler and faster way, their customer service is quite fast at the time of Answering any questions or requirements that we may have while using the application is very useful in case of having a problem with the use of the application, another thing that I like a lot is the fact that it has notification and alert options. which allows me to receive notifications in my email allowing me to always be updated on the incidents that have occurred.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unable to configure email notifications, so many times I end up with my inbox full of spam messages and it is quite a hassle when I receive more than 10 messages a day and they are pure spam.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has been of great help to me to translate my programs and applications in a fairly simple, fast and practical way, in such a way that I can in a fairly simple way simplify a large number of tasks and facilitate my use in a very practical way and efficient.

Users of our app enjoy translating on Crowdin and never have been disappointed. If there are any questions, the customer support of Crowdin is excellent. They write back in couple of minutes and are always willing to help. Would definitely recommend it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I do not like about Crowdin. For us it is perfect to work with.

Sharing and managing all of our translations for a mobile app. We can easily invite our users to help us translate.

Great tools and fantastic customer service

  • November 09, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Customer support is available pretty much 24/7 and very fast and professional in response.

- Comes with a great VSCode plugin that interfaces with Crowdin API.

- Generous usage limits per plan and very supportive for small projects like ours.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Crowdin has a feature that allows website users to suggest and vote translations anonymously. Unfortunately there does not seem to be any documentation on this feature or it's API so we had to tweak quite a lot to integrate this feature in our app, which is Flutter based.

- Audit history of changes to translation strings could be a bit better
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Crowdin to manage the localization of our app, which is a small hobby project. Compared to any selfmade solution to organize 20+ languages, Crowdin comes as close to perfect as it gets. Especially the VSCode plugin provides us with a very good tool that makes upload/download into Crowdin a breeze and has been vital in speeding up the translation process.

A very easy-to-use, simple but powerful translation web application

  • July 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can really figure out what is the feature I like most, since I can't go without it as soon as I start to use it. In the past, we had to rely on Google sheets to manage our translations, since our team is in different locations. However, there are some issues with it. It is quite inconvenient to extract translation or manage distributions. Crowdin has fixed all these issues for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside about Crowdin is the lack of a feature to export the email address of our translators.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team is localizing our app with Crowdin. Thanks to Crowdin, our app supports 30 languages now.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best multi-language translation management system with AI translation, TM, terms, and workflow.

Great Product, Outstanding Support

  • July 27, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Crowdin is a great tool for developers, localization managers and translators alike. This means they have a robust API with detailed documentation, practical project management tools, and a modern, intuitive CAT interface for linguists.

- The tool is packed with great and very practical features from the start, and the development team continuously delivers new integrations and features with a lot of value for customers. They listen to their audience and it shows.

- Their customer support is terrific. They reply within minutes at any time of day, and the support staff is both friendly and knowledgeable. If they don't know, then they find out for you. If it can't be done through conventional means, they will find alternatives or offer customised solutions. They will be patient with any level of tech savyness and will follow up to make sure all your questions are answered. They are not native english speakers, but their english is great so communication is easy and quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
- The reporting system could be a little clearer, specially for translators and translation/localization managers.

- The login dashboard could be more informative so you get a good overview of where your projects are at without having to click on each one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Localizing into 30+ languages without any issues, even for less common languages.
- Highly customizable platform, so everything can be adjusted to your specific technical and content workflows.
- Accurate reporting for each linguist, making it easier to handle invoicing.
- Increased quality for translations thanks to their great screenshot upload/tagging tool, commenting/issue feature, and automated QA checks during proofreading.
- The pricing is just right with very flexible packages. Unlimited users and languages, with most pricing options based on source strings alone.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get on a call with them once you've had a chance to test out the tool and go through the basic documentation. All of your questions will be answered fairly quickly and they will help you design a good workflow for your team and your needs.
