Best tool to facilitate translation of strings

What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Crowdin for 3+ years and have found that it outdoes the service offered by other companies in multiple ways. The UI is intuitive and minimalistic, which makes it easy for new users to dive straight into work rather than spend time figuring the software out. Most tasks such as keeping track of projects, users, and translations can be accomplished with a few clicks.
The advanced features such as API support, custom ISO language mapping, and integration with external tools like GitHub are both convenient and straightforward to use. Machine translations are a welcome addition to pre-translate the entire project in one go.
Customer support takes the cake. Responses to queries are turned around very fast, and they always go the extra mile to ensure the information is detailed and specific to our needs.
We would recommend them unreservedly
What do you dislike about the product?
Permission levels for users could be extended to read-only since not all users are translators/proofreaders. Some only use the tool to look up translations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Crowdin, we want to give our customers the freedom to change translate strings as and when they like without giving them access to the actual codebase. This saves us the trouble of making new releases only for string changes

Powerful collaboration platform perfect for both commercial and non-profit l10N

What do you like best about the product?
To anticipate a non-profit project that interests me, exchange information by submitting issues or initial a chat, crowdin also supports 3rd party application log on and data synchronization. No desktop app is required, and system loading is light. You are also entitled for a free project, this is exellent to pratice before buying any commercial membership.
What do you dislike about the product?
The contributor cannot see or archive what's already submitted, credit can be easily erased at any time by unknown one without reason provided. It's somewhat hard to find out a project basic on the page, because it's not mandotary for project owner to do so. Be aware of those project that seems to be a component of the same product, some likely take advantage of the source to cheat on free labour.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I helped translate a few projects; most of them are non-profit organizations. The preview feature allows with a translation that requires context reference. Contributor with a free account is eligible for a free project. The membership is available for all types of users or entities.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend beginners start by clicking on every link available on the page, and join a project that interests you, once being added/joined, go check out the existing translation and read help entirely before submitting your entry. Or simply create your project and build it as a pilot trial, you will be able to learn about how it works and take complete control of your project smoothly.

What do you like best about the product?
One of the exceptional things about Crodwin is their appetite to continuously develop and improve their product offering and their intentionality in providing a quality service to their customers. They always welcome feedback, are proactive in implementing new feature requests, and are always ready to help! From the customer service personnel to the CEO, every individual we have interacted with has been nothing short of helpful, knowledgable, and proactive.
What do you dislike about the product?
While we can see room for improvement in certain areas, there is nothing that we particularly dislike about Crowdin. I'm sure the tool will continue to get better as the team continues to improve their product and add new features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just recently we working with Crowdin to enable integration with a new vendor. The team has been on top of this from the start and continues to work on improving, streamlining, and automating the translation process.

Great open source product with incredible customer support

What do you like best about the product?
I love the philosophy of CrowdIn being open source and being free for other open source products. We are now using it in several software products where we need translation into multiple languages. CrowdIn makes it easy for translators to contribute without needing technical skills. The integration with GitHub is extremely useful for connecting to our repositories. The pre-translation functions and machine translation integrations as very useful and easy to use.

However, the customer feedback is the best of any company I have ever seen. I have contacted them many times and they are always available, quick, knowledgeable and they follow up even on improvements and suggestions to the software. They really go beyond the extra mile to provide support to their users and I can't emphasis enough how good this support is.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface for the project managers is not always intuitive and easy to navigate and find things. Once you get used to it it's ok.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CrowdIn helps us manage translations of our open source software products into multiple languages in an efficient way.

What do you like best about the product?
User-friendliness and convenient integration with our GitHub workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ill-adapted to copyediting; it's a translation tool first and foremost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed our translators to be able to edit in-app strings independently, without having to dig into any code (which is both time-consuming and problematic from an access control standpoint).

The benefits are clear: our translators get to work significantly faster and hardly have to ever bother developers to update text.

Great internationalisation product and excellent service

What do you like best about the product?
- Seamless Github integration - I didn't have to follow any instructions as the set-up was straightforward enough
- Simple but efficient UI - in the past we were attempting to handle translations directly in JSON files and failed miserably. Crowdin really helps with the experience
- Translators management - the important factor for us is the user experience for translators, as being an open-source company we want to engage with a community. So far we have received only positive feedback.
- Formatting warnings - it's really helpful and valuable Crowdin gives you a notification if you're trying to add a string, that's not formatted the same as the source (i.e. capitalized words)
- Variables warnings - we have quite some variables or HTML tags in the translation strings. Crowdin is doing an amazing job highlighting if any of the tags are missing or if a translator forgot to include the variable
- Speedy support - any request I sent to the help desk was resolved in the same day
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike so far, overall good experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving a problem of internationalization support of our web app. In the past, we offered only English, but we're getting more and more requests for multi-lang support. Also, we're getting more and more volunteers who want to contribute with translations, so providing them with a good UX is also one of the challenges we address with Crowdin.

What do you like best about the product?
- Intuitive UI
- Easy to manage translation/localization in many different languages
- Good MT
- Easy to collaborate: screenshots, comments, etc
- New UI in the project home is clearer and more informative now.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe, it would be helpful to get notifications every time there's something new to translate. Apart from that, it works perfectly fine for us.

Localization of an app and a website in several languages. Everything in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Crowdin for some time now and have to say it is a fantastic product. It helps our teams focus on aspects that they are supposed to be working on and lets our product team make translations super easy without looking at any code. Integrating our product was easy and allowed us to get notified about translations that may have been missed and let both teams work together in getting everything fixed and live. The best translation tool that helps us bring everything in one place and have everybody contribute to changes and comment on possible changes and improvements

What do you like best about the product?
The system is easy to use, support is always available, and responds quickly.

Pricing is a bit steep, but they are flexible to the client's needs.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use, but at the same time it has all the functions that you need to efficiently manage translated files (we are using it for our website translation).

Also, the service is incredible!! Seriously, I am dealing with a lot of software services and even for enterprise service you wait 48 hours for reply. Crowdin has not only great documentation, but if I write them an email at any time, I get a reply within 15 minutes max that resolves the problem (not just an autoreply).

Very happy and would highly recommend them for anybody who wants to get away from managing translations in Excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with every software, you have to get used to a new system and with that comes a short learning period where you have to learn where everything is, but the important thing is the actual translation module is super easy to use!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before we managed translations in Excel, which is a nightmare. With Crowdin we connect our software directly and push translations to the environment instantly.
