Awesome product, great for collaboration and managing translations at scale
What do you like best about the product?
- Translation suggestions, they work really well for simple cases and save a lot of time
- The Github integration
- Ability to have roles assigned for each language

What do you dislike about the product?
It is sometimes difficult to review changes. We're an open-source project with many contributions from different people, some of them we can't trust. I have to go to the "Activity" tab before each merge and make sure all contributions are legit. I'd love to have some warnings on this page like "Careful: this is their 1st contribution" or "This contribution seems suspicious".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Managing translations at scale from an open community (as Open Collective is an open-source project)
- Allowing anyone (internal or external) to easily contribute to the translations
- Offsetting the cost/burden of the task externally, as we're still a small company and don't have the budget to enroll translators

An easy process
What do you like best about the product?
For me the automation possibilities allowed me to fully integrate crowdin to my application's build process. I also got translations from random community members which was lovely
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be confusing at times and I think there could be an option to make project public so volunteers could find new ones to contribute to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin helps me open up my application to more users who don't speak English or just prefer to use their native one.
Great experience with CrowdIn
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Crowdin for several years not and it's by far the best translation software I have ever used. The GitHub integration is seamless and we can translate our website and docs into several languages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing :) it has been a great experience all around so there is not really anything I dislike! Maybe some basic UI/UX changes to make layering translations easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin is solving the issue of managing translations across different platforms. It has benefited us by allowing our non-English speaking audience access to our technical docs and website.
Great tool that is used by lots of people in the organization
What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin has many languages bundled in one place with a huge memory of translations, without losing the overview.
What do you dislike about the product?
Design of the user interface could be better and
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin helps a lot to keep the tone of voice by giving suggestions and storing translations in different languages. The two-eyes reading principle is the most important in communication and translation, Crowdin requires approval from a second person, this helps to avoid mistakes and miscommunication, which is a great advantage.
Great and affordable localization platform
What do you like best about the product?
I have a personal experience from both views - translator and product manager - and use the platform daily. Crowdin provides a clean dashboard for both sides, so the everyday work is pretty simple. For the translators, the tool offers the opportunity to use Translation Memory and machine learning and translation, which more accessible the whole process. The tool highlights the variables with different colors to ensure the specific items stay the same. Additionally, translators have the option to raise issues or comments and get in touch directly with the product managers.
For product managers, the platform offers the ability to set up the translation (which is pretty easy) to multiple languages, track the progress, and bulk approve or decline the translators' suggestions. They can also answer the comments, manage the issues and also invite new users via different channels. The platform has an affordable pricing.

What do you dislike about the product?
Personally, I do not see any bigger downsizes besides the fact, that some (not all) of the variables lost their specific highlight color. Both translators and product managers are affected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin helps us with the translation and localization of our products into 40+ languages and therefore bring the applications closer to the local users. It helped us to penetrate new markets.
Automated happiness
What do you like best about the product?
Completely automated, if you want it to be. I spent a few hours getting it to work with our i18n setup, and after that, the most I need to interact with it is to check a checkbox to add a new language. The rest is automated
What do you dislike about the product?
They encourage the use of 3rd party providers to perform translations. I'm all about that, but it would be better if you could automatically pay those providers through the platform itself, rather than doing it off-site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to ship a new language within about a day. That means we can start operating in a new country on a whim.
Localization tool to manage translations
What do you like best about the product?
It lets you translate and localize any document, from blogs, sites, games, and apps to chats. Business and freelancers can chat to finalize projects and work on this CAT tool. Although it has minimalistic looks, it is pretty handy, user-friendly, and clutter-free. It is super helpful in multi-language translation projects. The best part is that open-source technology makes it an ideal place for cost-conscious small and big businesses. Like other CAT tools, it supports TMs and glossaries, and contexts.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a bit ignored platform with loads of unresolved feature requests. As advanced workflows are not offered in standard plans, it is expensive. Crowdin needs to work on its interface, which has a vanilla look.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
You can easily localize multiple language projects, and businesses can find the best freelance talent in one place. They can chat, negotiate and finalize their projects. When you are dealing with an open-source CAT tool, you know you can expect to get endless customizations. Presently, it supports more than 40 file formats. You can work online or offline, individually or in groups. It is a win-win platform for businesses and freelance translators.
Reliable and easy to use Translation Management System
What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin is incredibly simple to set up and use. Onboarding translators for projects is also straightforward. The over-the-air update functionality has been a game changer for us. The pricing was reasonable when compared to its competitors. Finally, the support I've received is one of the best I've experienced for a SAAS.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major, but I did experience some weird bugs when synchronising the data from source control.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing the translation of online products. We have an online course which is offered in 14 different languages and one website which is translated into 42 different languages, so Crowdin has been pivotal in managing this. It has allowed us to move to a continuous translation workflow which has removed a lot of the manual file sharing which was needed before.
Great for video games localization
What do you like best about the product?
Fast and simple but powerful online editor, so the team can just focus on translating, proofreading and communication only by using the editor.
Very good management of source files - possibilities to
API and CI/CD integration, especially useful for big teams.
Machine translation integration for engines like Google Translate or DeepL.
Intuitive pricing plans.
Fast customer support.

What do you dislike about the product?
For some users the online editor was too complex. There could be a new editor mode with very simple UI and only basic features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Crowdin for big video game translation project (translation of 600k words to 5 languages with more than 100 translators). It's the best platform for teams of all sizes. In our case, one language was prepared in-house, and the rest are being prepared by volunteers. The online editor helps to coordinate all the efforts and communicate with everyone in the project. API and CI/CD integration helped a lot as we can deliver automated daily builds of the game with current state of translation and therefore QA team is embedded into the process from the very beginning.
Great tool
What do you like best about the product?
Why I like Crowdin:
- Easy UI
- Access for translators
- API and Docker CLI
- QA checks are really helpful
- Translation memory
- Integration with machine translators

What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like more flexible options for exports regarding untranslated entries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our application is localized in several languages and we do all the translation work externally. I can't imagine doing it manually. Crowdin helps us automate the whole process.
