Incredibly helpful with quick support

  • February 08, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
User-friendly interface that makes it easy to manage translation projects and integrates with a range of tools and platforms, making it possible to use with other tools used by a business or organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform can be complex and may require a significant amount of time to learn and master and can be more expensive than other translation management platforms, making it less accessible for smaller businesses or individual users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin provides a range of collaboration and integration tools for us that allow multiple users to work together on the same project, increasing our efficiency.

A reliable platform with great UX & support

  • February 08, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've used Crowdin for over 6 years and prefer it over any other platform on the market. It's been easy to set up for my clients, and intuitive and simple enough to use with volunteers, who often haven't got any experience with TMS's.
Their support is absolutely amazing - I always get help super quickly, no matter what, and they're open to suggestions re: new features, which I highly appreciate.

One of my client's businesses is an open source platform - they get to use Crowdin for free because of that. What's not to love?
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could preset vendors for certain projects' certain languages to speed up translations' ordering, but that's a super minor thing which I'm sure they'll sort out soon enough. Nothing else really.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes managing multilingual, continually updated content and vendors supereasy. I used to need a team of 10 to manage the workload, now I'm doing it all on my own.

A good translation management tool

  • February 06, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- the kanban view where you can see the work progress
- automatic word count
- easy to assign tasks for translation and proofreading
- the translation memory is really helpful
- easy to add people and projects
- easy to communicate with translators in strings and comments
What do you dislike about the product?
- it's integration with other tools can be difficult to use (google docs, django, figma), sometimes it dosen't work, it's buggy and it can create more work than help
- when changes occur in certain documents it;s not easy to readd them in Crowdin withour resetting the whole task, sometimes it grays out areas that still need translated and it can create a lot of chaos
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us keep all the translation work in one place from all the languages we use, with easy access to all the work that has been done. It's transparent for both the team and the translators.

Product with responsive support but unclear UI/UX

  • February 01, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
-Their support is responsive
-Once you understand the tool, it does its job
-Branch translations are useful
-Several methods to reduce workload for translators (auto-suggestions)
What do you dislike about the product?
-The UI could have many pieces that clarify why something is happening
-The search in the documentation rarely finds answers for me. Only if I use exact terms, but I rarely know the exact terms
-Support is friendly and responsive, but I often have to repeat myself and explain things multiple times. I think Crowdin would benefit from people owning 1 support ticket vs. moving it around between people.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Internationalization management where devs, customer support and translators can work together. Anyone can make changes, regardless of their technical background.

A game-changing tool for our organization

  • January 31, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The platform itself is user-friendly and easy to navigate while the interface is clean and intuitive, making it simple for us to manage the localization process and deliver high-quality, localized products. The platform also provides a range of features, including version control, translation memory, and a glossary, which helps to ensure consistency and accuracy in our translations.

One of the standout features of Crowdin and one that really changed our localization process is Crowdin's integration with GitLab. The integration provides a seamless workflow, making it easy for developers and translators to collaborate. We were pleased how setting up and configuring the integration with GitLab was extremely simple and quick. The process of updating and translating our content has never been smoother thanks to this integration.

Crowdin also has a big and well written documentation page dedicated on covering almost every type of integration including their API, CLI tools and etc.. So in case you'd want to do a manual integration, you should be good to.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the automatic language detection doesn't detect the correct language but takes it very little time to correct the target language. Regardless, in our experience Crowdin has proven to be a reliable and efficient localization tool that has exceeded our expectations so there is not much to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our biggest problem was finding a way to manage translations in a way where it would be easy for both developers and translators and Crowdin solved this problem for us. The GitLab integration that comes with Crowdin, took a lot of tediousness away from the developers, which means that we no longer need to extract source strings manually when the integration can do it for us.

Very user friendly and powerful localization platform

  • December 09, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Has no issues with multiple source files, multiple integrations, and custom directory structures while being convenient to set up. Those are things I struggled with on alternatives. The support is fast and helpful, and open-source projects are well-promoted.
What do you dislike about the product?
A few misleading error messages were the only issue I encountered. File hierarchies in the file selection for translators are not flattened, producing large directory trees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin enables community localization for my open-source projects. Not only was the setup much more effortless than alternatives, but open-source projects also received tremendous support from Crowdin.

Great Platform for Collaborating with a Large Number of Translators

  • November 23, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin makes it easy to manage our project, which is translated into 34 languages by more than 400 volunteer translators.
Their commitment to supporting Open Source projects like ours (https://betaflight.com/) is outstanding.
Their support is rapid and responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the past, there have been instances of SPAM-type rogue translators offering their services for reward on the platform. Most of them seem to have no or minimal qualifications. But this has not happened in a while now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of translations in a large number of languages, collaboration of multiple part-time translators on a single language, automation getting the translations into the build pipeline.

One of the best CAT tools for website localization

  • November 22, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use. Its TM suggestions are very helpful, and it is very compatible with smartphones. As a CAT tool, its options look sufficient, particularly for localizing websites.
What do you dislike about the product?
It doesn't support browser extensions such as the Google translate extension for the Chrome browser, so one cannot use machine translation to increase productivity. Also, I couldn't find this feature (machine translation) on this platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I didn't see any changes in progress on this platform as I see no serious problem or bug on it, but I wish it could have a free version for simple uses, because of its compatibility with smartphones.
