Crowdin as a product is changing the way we handle our translations, all for much better.
What do you like best about the product?
It allows us to use many more file formats, mainly XLF files, this has allowed us to translate many more materials. We are now looking to use Crowdin for all of our translations, including our main platform.
The user expereince is also a huge positive, everything is very clear and easily understandable. As a very frequent user I can say the time saved day to day with Crowdin is really valuable.
Last and certainly not least, the customer support has been by far the best I have had from any company in a business to business setting. Very fast responses and always willing to jump on a call to help go through anything. I was in contact with Oleh Guralnyi, and he was incredibly helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?
So far I have had no major issues, and any minor ones have been from my own understanding. When any minor issues came up Oleh from Crowdin would explain to me, the issues would never come back,

The best and most affordable TMS for growing software companies
What do you like best about the product?
Very helpful product for managing i18n across multiple projects, and leveraging our community for translation improvements.

Quite a few pain points in the product, but all can be overcome with persistence and perodic manual lifts.

Crowdin makes setting up i18n in our team easy

What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of features in Crowdin that make it a little complex to initially navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our clients want our app to be translated to their native languages, and Crowdin makes it very easy to streamline this (we pair it with the lingui npm package)
Great tool for open-source project
What do you like best about the product?
We started using Crowdin for contributor-based localization of our apps. It allowed us to easily set up the entire l10n process and integrate it with our regular development and release workflows. Another great thing is that many translators from our community were already familiar with Crowdin and began translating from the moment we launched the l10n project.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice to have additional tools to communicate with the contributors' community, such as a newsletter for all project participants or promoting the project among other Crowdin users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing an easy way for contributors to suggest translations for the apps.
Powerful tooling to simplify coordination on i18n
What do you like best about the product?
The range and quality of tooling from CLI to UI based makes collaboration between translators and developers super easy. It also makes adoption very simple and supports various workflows to add, update and manage translations. We are in the process of adopted crowdin for all our repos to make translations consistent and complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing after the basic plan (which is well worth the money) is on the higher end and the jump can be hard to justify. However sometimes workarounds (branches and dev accounts) are needed in the basic plan that should be easier to solve or cheaper to upgrade for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bringing all translations into one place where its easy to add, update and manage translations across all projects and repos. Generating files based on any input source (json, ts/js, xml, properties, html and many many more) is a very powerful tool to simplify and unlock translations across all kinds of products. It reduces time spent on thinking about translations during development significantly. It also eliminates coordination issues after the fact.
Centralized localization
What do you like best about the product?
The API integration with gitlab. It is part of our official documentation building pipelines. The possibility to have all the company localization (UI, documentation) in one place. AI transaltion!

Great time-saver for complex translations of a software product
What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin shines in several areas - easy management of 15+ translations, flawless detection of new and updated original texts that are pending translation, translation memory (dictionary), and automated translation proposals. Compared to how we managed translations in Excel files several years ago, Crowdin makes our lives so much easier. We have been updating our translations on a monthly basis for a few years already using Crowdin.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had to tweak the integration because the built-in scanning of source files in Git was too slow. So we had to have an intermediate step of preparing translation files for Crowdin and then converting the translations back. I have to mention that Crowdin customer support was very helpful in the process, helping with optimizations.
