Great experience for a localization PM
What do you like best about the product?
Good features for a linguist or a proofreader, very user-friendly.

We would welcome having more PM friendly functions, global modifications, and more QA settings, and more TM metadata.

Every translation worked, but usability of the software is a bit confusing

Crowdin Review
What do you like best about the product?
It was very easy to send messages to multiple people in my Crowdin group. I was also able to easily send invites to members and keep track of who joined. Translation process was smooth, lots of options and easy to understand, and I was able to easily upload files and keep track of progress.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I had trouble figuring out how to accomplish tasks like bulk downloading translated files or how to find contact information for members. I was able to eventually figure it out, but I felt like it was not too self explanatory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Translating many files and having members join and review them as well.
Great platform, good customer service
What do you like best about the product?
The Crowdin team has been very responsive to our nonprofit, helping us set up and use their platform to solve our needs. It is really intuitive and our translators have never had any issues with the platform. Straightforward and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
more options for downloading partial projects
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a global nonprofit and have users around the world. We used Crowdin to translate website course materials (in xliff) and also many documents.
Crowdin is a must have for internationalization
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use and it does the work! No caveats.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in specific. If you use another localization tool it may be a little bit harder to migrate to Crowdin, but once it's done, all good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the past, I've used several translation tools, some of which were quite troublesome. Then Crowdin came along and solved the issues - simple and effective.
Crowdin Still Makes Translation Management Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
Since my last review, Crowdin has remained very stable and continues to fit smoothly into our daily workflow. We’ve started relying more on translation memory, glossaries, and integrations, which makes it much easier to keep product copy and marketing content in sync. The overall speed of the platform and the clarity of the translation editor help our translators work faster while keeping quality high.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, our experience is still very positive, but there are a few areas that could be even better. Reporting and analytics could be more flexible, with easier ways to build custom dashboards and export insights for stakeholders. Some advanced settings are a bit hidden, so a slightly more streamlined admin interface and clearer onboarding tips for new users would help. Transparent pricing and controls around machine translation usage would also be appreciated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin helps us streamline and simplify our translation management process across multiple languages. It allows us to efficiently handle nine languages while keeping everything organized for both translators and managers. The platform’s intuitive interface, status tracking, and collaboration tools ensure smooth workflows and prevent bottlenecks.
Fast support reply and practical solutions
What do you like best about the product?
The Support Team. They reply very quickly, and their replies aren't automatic but practical solutions to my issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe add a function to resolve tag issues in all strings with one command.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast delivery and integrations.
User friendly tool for translation management. Great customer support team.
What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin offers a lot of flexibility and different integration options.
I like the most their support team. The helped with all the specifics of my project.
I like the most their support team. The helped with all the specifics of my project.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were some limitation with integration with Zendesk. Especially, when integrating with a huge database of already existing articles. I we had used Crowdin from the start, it would have been easier to integrate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Translating software and articles
Crowdin, good for app translations but time consuming for plain text
What do you like best about the product?
I likethe fact that crowdin suggests tranlsations based on what the user has previously corrected. This is very useful when proofreading strings for an App, a Client Portal or something of the sort.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that sometimes, what seems like html characters are imported, such as <0/>, which is annoying to see and distracts from the actual text. Also, I don't like the fact that it is hard to see the whole context of a proofreading file. Even though you can see the word file below, I find it easier to just proofread the original file because you can see the whole picture more clearly and it takes less clicks (saving and approving the strings). Finally, I find it a bit bulky beacuse it takes time to change between strings, and I start typing only to realize I'm not typing anywhere.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My organization wanting to have an app in multiple languages. Thanks to crowdin we can easily and quickly have various automatic mutations for different languages, and us proofreaders get tasks and deadlines. This saves the time of the coordinator to have to 'chase' us individually. And for me as a translator/proofreader, it saves me having to translate each string manually because this first step is already done, and I just have to focus on proofreading. And in many cases, for strings that are similar or repeated, Crowdin suggests the same changes I applied to the previous ones. This saves me time.
Neutral experience
What do you like best about the product?
Customer support through our channel and the interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
When creating tasks and assigning those to linguists, they don't get blocked and can be translated by the rest of the community.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None
