Easy workflow to manage translations in your application

  • February 21, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like to have one central place to manage the translations of our application. We are multiple teams with different backgrounds but we all quickly learned how to use Crowdin.
We have some custom integetrations running with the API or usage of plugins. This gives us the flexibility to use crowdin in a way that that follows our workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the navigation can be overwhelming. Getting from the project view, over tasks to the specific translation files and keys took some time to get used to. But I got used to it, learned it and now thats not a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing translations for multiple apps/websites with multiple teams.

Crowdin: a good tool for managing translations

  • February 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the possibility to create Tasks with clear information easily visible, such as wordcount, due date, languages needed. Great that you can add screenshots too, for context.
Also you can select whether your translations will be performed by your own translators or external ones.
The nice overview shown in the Board to see progress of single Tasks.
The integration with Figma adds value to the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not super user-friendly/intuitive at the first sight. You need to actively use it quite a while before become familiar with the tool.
A few developers in our organization find it hard the first time to follow your guidelines to open Tasks.
Tasks have to be opened one by one for each language, while we could have a single Task in multiple languages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Crowdin we avoid manual work, we improve consistency thanks to its translation memory and glossary, we all (developers, translators, translation manager) work with a single tool.

Best localization tool on the market

  • February 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This platform is really easy to use. I've been using it for the last three years. The keyword search and the ability to add comments to text strings make working with translators and proofreaders a breeze.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wasn't able to find an option to attach a picture to a text string. Sometimes the extra context really needs to be shown visually
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're translating our app copy to multiple languages and we're working with translators and proofreaders.

Crowdin is a great tool for community-driven localization

  • February 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin is simple to use and reduces the barrier to entry for those who wish to help localize but do not have the technical knowledge. It offers a wide range of features, including AI-assisted suggestions, quality assurance tracking, an easy way to import and export translations, and a GitHub integration. Perhaps one of the best things about Crowdin so far is my experience with customer support. Their responses are really quick and have been very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would appreciate if Crowdin had a built-in tool to see what people's suggested translations roughly translate to in the source language (e.g. Simplified Chinese -> English). Perhaps there is a way to do this already but I have not been able to find it in the UI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Previously, as a software developer, I had no easy way to find how much of the source text was localized or outdated. It was also not straightforward to contribute to the software's localization as the files were in a git repository, which not many people visit or now how locate and suggest changes to. Crowdin solves all of these problems by providing a platform where people can easily find which parts of the software is still not translated and contribute. As an administrator to the project, it is much easier for me to notify people of changes in the source text and keep track of the status of all languages my application is localized in.

Nice UI, awkward API, broken client libraries, and no response from support

  • February 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The UI for translators and proofreaders is nice and has many features that make it easy to crowdsource contributions from our existing community.
What do you dislike about the product?
The native client libraries does not seem to be used or maintained and support is non-existent—we file tickets and they go weeks without update, even after escalation through our account representative. Similarly, Github has multiple recommended integration paths and the docs are confusing about why or when to choose different options, making it hard to get started. Different integration paths have non-obvious limitations or shortcomings. Overall, the DX is very poor and it does not seem like a product intended for technical users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin allows us to crowd-source translations from our large existing community and add a user-friendly layer of proofreading and approval, as well as (in theory, but not in practice) allowing translators to see the results of their translations in real time as they contribute.

Crowdin Empowers My Ability to Maintain Multilingual Platform

  • February 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Definitely, I like navigation across articles as well as pre-translation capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pretranslation malfunctions revealing errors, but it can be solved manually. It's a browser-application integration issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin helps to maintain multiple translation localizations across a variety of articles.

Fast, Fluent, Fantastic!

  • February 10, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin allows for highly accurate real-time collaboration with sensical, easy-to-follow organization and troubleshooting menus.
Collaboration and issue identification are a breeze, contributor performance is clear, and data recovery and update processes are smooth and responsive.
It is a huge achievement for a collaboration tool to be so easily understood across a massive array of languages and cultures, matching its purpose.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on the project, training others to locate the correct menu/page can be difficult due to slight ambiguity on what each section is specifically for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A shared workspace that multiple users can easily interact with to collaborate for a single project.
