Fantastic platform for localizing your app!

  • April 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin is super easy to use, even for those just getting started. It’s been really great for me as a solo dev to collect localizations for my app from the community.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s a small learning curve with no previous experience, but it’s pretty easy and intuitive after you get the hang of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick and easy crowdsourced localization

Great service with its own nuances

What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin has definitely accelerated our localization process — I can hardly imagine such a fast entry into new markets without your service. I see clear advantages compared to how we used to do it manually.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had some integration issues. Our integration with Customer.io broke, so we had to manually transfer all the push notifications, which was a hassle.

The filtering system isn't very convenient either, and the push notification alerts are particularly frustrating. For example, our translator reviewed a build and made 300 edits, leaving me 300 comments. But when I opened the notifications tab, everything was marked as read, so I had no idea where her comments ended. I'd really consider improving how comments are displayed and handled to make the experience smoother.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of managing multiple localizations. Right now, our app speaks five languages, and we’re planning to expand to new markets. The way Crowdin is structured really helps with that.

Easy and Robust

What do you like best about the product?
The AI and machine pre-translation features are time-saving and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initially, it was a bit hard to figure out the UI, which could have been made easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I usually have a large list of languages to support on the websites I develop, and managing translations has been easier since using CrowdIn. I can set a source language, and by default, if I add new strings to my source language, the other languages indicate that they haven’t yet been translated. This was a difficult task to do manually.

Easy to use localization

  • April 22, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin has made a huge difference in how we manage localization. The automation is probably the biggest win-translations sync automatically, so we’re not wasting time on manual updates or chasing down files. It just runs in the background and keeps everything moving.

Managing multiple teams is also simple. Whether it's developers, translators, or reviewers, Crowdin makes it easy to assign roles and track progress. Everyone stays aligned, and the whole process feels smooth.

We also really like how easily AI integrates into the workflow. Setting it up was fast, and it helps speed up translations without sacrificing quality. It’s especially useful when dealing with a high volume of content.

Adding new languages is another area where Crowdin shines. It doesn’t feel like a big task-just a few clicks and you're ready to go. That flexibility is key as we expand into more regions.

Finally, the codebase integration is seamless. We connected it to our repos, and now everything stays in sync automatically. No copy-pasting, no versioning headaches.

Overall, Crowdin helps us move faster, stay organized, and scale globally without friction.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downsides we’ve experienced are that new features can feel a bit rough around the edges when they first roll out-it usually takes some time before they’re fully polished. Also, when something breaks or doesn’t work as expected, the error messages can be unclear, and it’s not always easy to troubleshoot without reaching out to support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Crowdin, translations are automated and integrated directly into our codebase, so everything stays up to date without extra effort. It centralizes communication between developers, translators, and reviewers, which helps us avoid misalignment and keeps projects moving smoothly.

The biggest benefit is speed and scalability

What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin is an intuitive, easy-to-use tool with a truly amazing support team. There’s no perfect tool on the market, but Crowdin simplifies many processes without causing too many headaches.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ways TM suggestions are shown (sometimes it is a bit confussing)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating workflows is very straightforward, and communication between translators, project managers, and the end client is also simple — without the need to rely on emails or other communication channels.

Easy-to-use for all

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Interface is easy to use and to understand, even for people who have never used a TMS before. Creating projects and tasks is simple. Adding people to projects is easy and done efficiently, and notifications work very well. The Slack integration is great for receiving notifications without getting a full inbox.
Customer support answers quickly and is very helpful.
We use Crowdin everyday for our work. We discover new things that help our efficiency and make it easy for our freelancers to work with us. Great product that I highly recommend.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if the proofreading green circle could be removed from the editor view for translators who are not proofreading. Avoids confusion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a concise translation memory for all our languages. Tasks are solved faster. Communication between linguists and managers made easier.

Easily translated my web extension to 24 languages using Crowdin

  • April 13, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I was previously using web-ext-translator, but the CLI stopped working for me and it didn't offer automatic translations, for example from Google translate, so I had to find an alternative. Thanks to Claude AI, I discovered Crowdin and it was a game changer for 2 essential reasons: firstly, it not only offered 3-rd party translation services from the likes of DeepL, Microsoft Translator, Google Translate and more, but it also comes with AI translations; secondly, the integration with GitHub makes it easy to bring translations into my project. Lastly, but not least, support is good and it was all free for my modest needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
On a minor note, I found the documentation to be lacking sometimes, but support makes up for this. I also would have liked to test other integrations (there's a ton on offer), but the price jump is quite steep for an indie developer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin allows me to easily translate my cross-browser web extension in numerous languages, thus substantially increasing my target audience. I get powerful translation capabilities at a modest cost or even free to start with.

Great for translation review and collaboration

  • March 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a UX writer, I mostly used Crowdin to review translations and check how they look in context and in terms of usability. I’m not a pro user, but here’s what I really liked:

- Built-in machine translation — a good starting point for our translators
- Translation memory — even with a glossary, it’s been important for keeping things consistent across the product
- Comparing translations across different locales — helps understand context better and compare with what’s already translated
- Commenting directly on strings — great for giving feedback to our translators, asking questions, and resolving issues
- Integration with the code — translated strings go straight into the product automatically
- Figma plugin — made it easy to see translations in context and spot issues early, both for translators and UX writers doing reviews. Has been a life-changer
What do you dislike about the product?
- Sometimes, it’s hard to understand the full context of a string, especially when it includes variables, is part of an A/B test, or is outdated.
- This leads me to the next point about the Figma plugin. I don't know if it’s even possible, but being able to jump from a string to the exact text component in Figma using the plugin would have been a life-changer. That said, the plugin itself has been amazing, and I honestly can’t stress enough how much of a help it’s been!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin helps make the localization process smooth for everyone involved — developers, translators, and me as a UX writer. Here are some of the key problems it solves:
- Makes implementation of localized strings easier, as localized strings show up in the product automatically
- Allows translations to be reviewed in context via the Figma plugin — both translators and UX writers can see how text looks inside actual designs, which speeds up the review and helps avoid layout or tone issues
- Helps translators work more efficiently with features like character counters, machine translation, and translation memory
- Makes communication faster — you can comment on individual strings to ask questions, give feedback, or clarify meaning without lots of back-and-forth

Overall, Crowdin saves time and helps everyone work better together.
