Wonderful experience!
What do you like best about the product?
I work as localization manager. Before I got the position I didn’t know much. But Crowdin is so intuitive and full with tools. The best experience for me.
I like that I can get accurate report of the work my translators do and pay them accordingly.

What do you dislike about the product?
I hope Crowdin can work on subtitles option for videos. They are other tools but I did not like the subtitles experience there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning about different futures and what I can do with them was helpful.
Excellent Localisation Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Crowdin supports does a great job of supporting the modern localisation data formats we need for the apps we're building -- eg, the xcstrings format -- which allow the translator more control over plurals and grammatical agreement. The Crowdin API / command line tools were easy to integrate into our project to perform continuous localisation. Every build we do submits new and changed strings to Crowdin automatically.
We also really like the powerful screenshot support, which makes it easy to correlate strings in our database to their actual use within the UI.

What do you dislike about the product?
Crowdin Language Services could be clearer about the quality of translation provided. From the Task user interface, it indicates that the translation is automatic, with human review? -- but if so the prices seem high. We want full human translation, so in the end we've opted to go with another translation service -- but still using the great Crowdin platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin solves the problem of managing continuous localisation for us. Modern software need to ship frequently -- we put out feature releases every month, and bug fix releases more often -- and every release can have a number of updated strings. We need a way to manage that flow of incremental work to our translators so that localisation doesn't slow our releases.
Excellent product and technical support!
What do you like best about the product?
As a marketer, I found it incredibly easy to navigate the Crowdin platform. The integration with our content management system was seamless. I appreciated having a dedicated support representative from Crowdin who responded quickly and helped us resolve any technical issues we encountered. Additionally, their pricing was very competitive compared to other TMS vendors offering similar services. Overall, we are very satisfied customers!
What do you dislike about the product?
As a person with Manager permission, I've encountered some limitations in accessing the specific translation setups that other linguists can see, which makes it challenging to assist them with troubleshooting. Additionally, I would love to see an in-context preview feature that allows us to view translation changes as they appear on the website before syncing them to the Content Management System. This functionality could significantly reduce the time spent sending pages back for translation. However, I recognize that implementing such a feature may be complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin made translating our website a seamless experience. With the assistance of LLM AI translation, we were able to translate quickly and then assign tasks to our translation vendor for human review. I especially appreciate the automatic synchronization feature that updates Crowdin as soon as the linguists finish reviewing and approving the translations. Integrating the completed translations back into our CMS is also a breeze.
Overall, the translation process across our three platforms— CMS, Crowdin, and our translation vendor—was efficient and straightforward. With proper user permissions, Crowdin allows us to assign roles to both linguists and internal reviewers effortlessly. One key factor in selecting Crowdin as our vendor was their compliance with our IT security team’s requirements, which they successfully met.

Laggy platform and confusing user experience
What do you like best about the product?
The free tier, the (visual) design of the platform, the (potential) integrations
What do you dislike about the product?
The broken integrations (Google Cloud Storage, for example), the confusing user experience (approved/reviewed translations), the laggy platform (website is very slow)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a platform in which I could store my translated strings, allow clients to edit them and easily deploy them to my web app
Flexible translations platform from a company open to innovation
What do you like best about the product?
From a linguist's perspective, I've appreciated most of all the ability to add context, flag uncertainties or errors, and send messages, since context is vital in the language pair I work with (EN-FR). The ease of adaptability to various screen sizes, is also helpful, since it permits working on the go. From a manager's perspective, the ability to split and assign files to translators, and track their progress, has been a huge help in completing larger projects faster. Finally, as a solution architect, I've appreciated the very rapid responses to all our customer support emails. The API implementation is quite extensive, and it's helpful that so many AI models can plug in to Crowdin. Over all, I've appreciated that customer support has been open to our suggestions based on our use-cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main difficulty for us was integrating our linguists, but I imagine this won't be the same story across the board, because most were new to professional translation platforms. For anyone with prior experience, Crowdin should be fairly intuitive. My main criticism (and it's picky) would be that some of the AI implementations can prove difficult to work with, as the prompts are highly complex and require fairly high power compared to the models which we tend to use. Our main issues have been with attention dilution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Crowdin is serving as a source of truth and safeguard for the quality of our translations. Since we leverage a volunteer workforce, we have a wide variety of backgrounds, and Crowdin helps us build consistency in our public image.
Simple & Smart Solution for Our Translations
What do you like best about the product?
It's pretty easy to use overall, from finding strings to actually translating them. The translation memories are a nice bonus.
What do you dislike about the product?
The best would be to translate our web app directly via a Crowdin plug-in. That would be awesome, but does not exist (yet?).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our web app is available in four languages, and we regularly release new features. This means we frequently need to update our translations, which Crowdin makes easier.
Crowdin is a mess
What do you like best about the product?
There is many integrations, a lot of documentation, and maybe only one product which can solve multilingual problems
Support is good tho
Support is good tho
What do you dislike about the product?
Interface is a complete mess, not easy at all, you cant work with translations easily, you cant migrate translations between project easily or import strings, and so on and so on
Role management is a complete mess. Developer for example can add GitHub integration and need to waste account admin time for no reason
Integrations also is not easy, my developer said that he cant implement it easy without complex and long development process, but he was lazy, maybe we cant count on it at all

What do you dislike about the product?
1. For copy submitted by our developers, I can’t see the context, making it hard to translate appropriately based on product design.
2. Lacks a one-click global edit feature to modify translations of a specific term across all instances.
Feature request:
Could Crowdin provide an option to let AI pre-translate all pending texts first (leveraging the glossary/term base), followed by human proofreading?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy software localization involves adapting software to different languages and regions without changing the core code. This process includes translating text, adjusting formats for dates, currencies, and other region-specific elements, and ensuring cultural appropriateness. Effective localization enhances user experience and expands market reach.
