What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Proofpoint is helping us protect our users and email data. This solution forms the core of our email security platform ensuring that only legitimate emails are delivered to users, filtering out the majority of spam and other malicious emails, while giving administrators complete control over the security of our emails.
Awesome tool and detection
What do you like best about the product?
The tool is great at detection and is simple to use and train others in.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool can be slow to save changes in the portal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We send and receive all email through them and solve the issues of managing spam and malicious emails as well as sending encrypted emails.
Best in breed email hygiene.

World class inspection and filtering of email and attachements with easy custom filtering.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support is hit or miss some engineers are very knowledgeable other not so much.

Proofpoint email security platform prevents the vast majority of malious email and spam from ever reaching our environment.

What do you like best about the product?
Reduces unwanted email from user mailboxes, both malware and spam. Gives us excellent visibility to the mail flow and allows us to take appropriate action to mitigate risks. We were able to turn up the service in under a day when we originally started working with Proofpoint. Additional services were short engagements to enable, and they're off to the races. Customer support is responsive, giving solutions that work and remediating issues that we escalate or cannot resolve on our own.
What do you dislike about the product?
Proofpoint can be a very expensive service, but the value is there that balances it off. The other thing that can make the relationship difficult is bundling and pricing options aren't completely visible to the end-user making the purchase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't have to worry about email that's coming in and questioning whether it is safe for the user to open. We're also increasing user productivity from receiving mostly pertinent emails instead of sifting through junk and spam. Our Security Team is able to focus on real problems instead of chasing non-issues or performing mundane, routine reconnaissance missions that Proofpoint performs for us automatically.

Dedicated IP address for the gateway cluster.

Very flexible and easy to make a complex setup.

Prevents the majority of email threats.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most is the protection it provides against bad actors and spammers, while at the same time being customizable. I can create block and safe lists as well as being able to relax or increase the spam and bulk scores for various legitmate senders, to avoid them being blocked. For the Service Desk, the ease of use for the average user is very good. We use the POD a lot and we rarely have complaints.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be slow to apply changes, at times. Even though we have been promised that this would be fixed we still experience this issue.Support can be slow to respond at the weekend. We have also experienced outages, and never seem to receive and explanation of why they happened.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The way that the integration between the gateway, TAP and TRAP works, we have been saving a lot of man hours manually deleting malicious or email that has been sent in error from mailboxes.

Highly scalable and efficient. Meets the wide variaety of our needs.

The interface is not the most intiutive.

What do you like best about the product?
Email Protection has a great GUI and is very easy for the team to learn and pick up on in minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike right now as I have used PP in the past and now we are a current customer
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We receoved a lot of spam and impersonation attacks. Spam has been cut down by 90% and impersonation attacks are down by 98%. We needed to free up our SOC from handling spam for 6 plus hours a day.
