Great email protection with some outdated pieces causing flaws in administration
What do you like best about the product?
Customer support is great and quick to respond. The system overall works great and filters over 10K+ emails that are spam and junk from our system daily. We use it for heightened security to block potential bad actors as well
What do you dislike about the product?
We are currently operating with a hybrid model that incorporates both on-premises and cloud architectures. This setup leads to challenges, as some rules transfer seamlessly between the two portals while others do not. As a result, we sometimes experience prolonged difficulties with whitelisting emails and managing security rules effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product enables us to encrypt all outgoing emails containing patient information, ensuring a HIPAA-compliant communication channel between our facility and physicians. Additionally, it helps us block a significant amount of spam and junk emails, while also screening for ransomware and malicious actors who might attempt to gain access to our environment.
ProofPoint is the real deal for email security and protection
What do you like best about the product?
Seriously... it just works! I know that sounds silly but it does the best at protecting our environment. We don't have any problems with making changes, searching to release emails, and just overall administration.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had to pick on thing... it would be their support. It could do a little better when calling in with a trouble ticket. It's not horrible, but it's not outstanding either.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Email security is a growing concern within our organization. Protecting our users and email is always a challenge with which ones we let in and which ones we block. ProofPoint makes that easier as they do all the heavy lifting for us. They are our email perimeter defense as well as our Email Fraud Defense (DKIM/DMARC/SPF) hosted provider.

What do you dislike about the product?
i like the POD than the on-prem version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
trying to keep the bad emails from reaching the end users. it is doing a good job doing that.
Great email protection tool
What do you like best about the product?
The peace of mind of getting the emails blocked that can cause mayhem to our place of work
What do you dislike about the product?
The link to AD for endusers to access their blocked emails with their current AD password is intermittent.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blocking malicious emails and filtering out external ads and unwanted emails

What do you like best about the product?
The proofpoint email security and protection is easy to use and easy to deploy. The customer and technical support are top notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have anything dislike about this solution. The minor imperfection is the admin console is a little slow sometimes

This help us defense against phishing and malware email before it even hits the mail server
Strong email protection with one of the only FedRAMP offerings
What do you like best about the product?
The anti phishing and anti malware capabilities are beyond what our previous solution was capable of.
What do you dislike about the product?
The features in the FedRAMP offering, while one of the few email security products in the market, lags behind Proofpoint's commerical product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed better methods of fighting phishing and social engineering.
Great Defense Product
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to make changes on the fly in one singular portal.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit slow but I'm sure that is expected with a larger org.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blocking unwanted emails and protecting users.

What do you like best about the product?
Consistently blocks malicious emails, whether BEC, phishing, harvesting etc. Support is also very quick to respond to reported false positives or negatives.
What do you dislike about the product?
While not specific to the product itself, there has been outages lately with secure email, and TRAP protections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By blocking malicious attacks, preventing clicks, and automatically pulling emails from user mailboxes enables us to focus on more niche use cases and take the load off from data paralysis.
Proofpoint Email Protection has been great
What do you like best about the product?
The amount of bad emails it has protected our users from is incredible
What do you dislike about the product?
I at first did not like the UI of the module, but they have recently updated it and it is way better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were constantly getting hit with phishing attacks but now our users no longer get these emails delivered!
