Vulnerability Scanning through Acunetix
What do you like best about the product?
Acunetix is good tool for scanning vulneraility in websites. I have scaned more than 30 web application with Acunetix and result was good. It provides a quick way to find vulnerability in webapplication.
What do you dislike about the product?
You can't relay 100% on automated tools like Acunetix, still there is a need for manual assessments for the webapplications. There are lot of cases where I was able to found more vulnerbities dispite of the Acunetix scan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acunetix helped me to quickly find the vulnerabilities in automated way. I only need to run the Acunetix on any webapplicaiton and it gives me the overall security posture of the webapplicaiton.

It is a security assessment tool to perform Vulnerability assessment on web applications. It will give details information of each vulnerability of web application with remediation.

It is easy to use; it will help to find security vulnerabilities in web applications, and it also provides report standard wise like SANS,OWASP etc
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can find all web application vulnerabilities by a standard; we can get reports like OWASP Top 10, SANS 25 and more. It will provide detailed remediation for each exposure. Easy to configure and perform Vulnerability Assesments.

Acunetix is a very easy-to-use vulnerability analysis tool. Accunetix can detect most of the vulnerabilities. Best tools for automation testing.

Noting to say. Every pentester use love this tool.

Accunitix saves lots of time for a pentester. It automatically detects vulnerabilities. You just need to verify a false positive.

I started with finding remote code execution where sometime before i have used vulnerability scanner but they give false positives and now after this usage everything drawn apart where i find the reports very crucial and persistent in terms of clear indication

What do you dislike about the product?
So far it's working and persistent reports don't give me false positives and I find myself very much stuck to its best and most accurate solutions.
Some areas like LFI and reconnaissance may require more inceptions.

Threat management nowadays getting difficult to envelope but this given a clear and persistent reports where it helped to plan enterprise costing of administration and security solutions.

I have experienced that some vulnerabilities still can't be detected by Acunetix and still need manual VA of the application, so guys, please don't rely 100% on automated tools like Acunetix.

It generates false positives results of web applications, so sometimes we rely on another tool for Accurate result

It does good crawling of the website, easy scan scheduling, and simple vulnerabilities view

The vulnerabilities POC sometimes not intuitive and slightly complexed. The UI looks old. To add users, you need to set the password for them.
