Financial Reporting Expertise & More
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, collaboration, feature rich focus on financial reporting. Additionally, easy collection of support and certifications from non-workiva users. Ability to integrate SSO makes it seamless for organization non-users. Customer support is human & top notch, to the point of handholding through any unnerving tasks (e.g. filing).
What do you dislike about the product?
As they continue to build out and find their sweet spots we are forced to contend with moving menus, changes in processes and clicks. Feels like I'm relearning the product, but it's only once in a blue moon type change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Certification management today. Previously worked in financial reporting and it was best in class, with no viable alternatives.
Great Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
The Workiva team is so helpful whenever you need them. They are professional and personable. I’ve had great experiences with them on every call.
What do you dislike about the product?
The sales calls are annoying. I would prefer they not try to upsell to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva makes our SEC filings easy to handle and also does a great job with XBRL requirements so I don’t have to learn them.
Workiva is an amazing auditing tool which offers multiple features which simplify the audit process.
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva enables comprehensive auditing across all stages - right from task creation and assignment to stakeholders, sending reminders, tracking requests, maintaining documentation and reporting. The ease of use and number of features that Workiva supports is definitely appreciated.
What do you dislike about the product?
Footnotes in the test form cannot be copied from the previous year test form. Sometimes when a single control is associated with multiple phases, the footnotes cannot be copied, which creates a problem.

Audit management - All the features related to audit, right from request creation, test form documentation, IPE testing, reporting
Workiva was easy to navigate from a user role.
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva was easy to navigate. The feature that linked the data points to the area it was flowing was easy to follow and helpful to understand what schedules any changes may impact.
What do you dislike about the product?
It appeared adding or removing rows from tables had to be managed by an admin in order to update the flows of the workbook. This resulted in a slight delay while waiting on others in order to complete work.

Workiva helped streamline our footnote process.

Linking functionality to create easy rollforward based on trial balances

Certain Word / Excel functionalities not possible in Workiva files.

Workiva is an excellent solution for my team and the active development team is highly valuable.

It is a web-based program and we find it can get very slow at certain periods of time or when several users are on the platform
There is not much support internally at Workiva that can assist in using the software to its fullest advantage. Workiva requires that you work with a consultant to discuss issues with how the software is being used.

We prepare 40+ audited financial statements and Workiva helps us ensure any updates to the financial statements are flowed through and consistently applied
Developing platform that has some great tools
What do you like best about the product?
Workiva has lots of resources available to users and once you get the hang of it, it is quite intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if Workiva could have more functions similar to inDesign, like kerning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workiva helps our teams to easily collaborate on our Proxy disclosure. It is a great platform that we can share confidentially and see who edited what.

What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy the ability to work within multiple workspaces with my team members at the same time. Allows for real time edits and collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that there was the ability to keep attachment labels on the blacklined versions of the report.

Workiva allows organizations to minimize time it takes to deliver onerous tasks.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not much. If I had to nitpick, I would like to see additional functionality added to service regulatory reporting formatting for Ontario.
